The one thing I will say about this series or maybe just an observation from Game 1... After the physicality of the Bucks and Heat...it almost felt as if I had been trained to expect violence and was surprised by the lack of it. It became more finesse-based? Which also brings me to my 2nd point. We used Grant heavily when we needed physicality. Perhaps this series needs someone like Kornet? I thought the same thing as well. The game went by so much quicker without all the fouls. We are used to banging and bruising around. I think we had to adjust to playing more finesse and technical.

Also, we learned how to defend Curry and Klay.

Who do you think the media would have given Celtics MVP/game ball in game 1? Like if it had been a one game series who was the MVP?
I think they give that one to Al Horford.

Yeah, I'd vote for him.

Ok, after digesting Game 1, what do you all think we need to do for Game 2?
We know the Warriors will make adjustments on both ends of the floor.

Wow, Thunder Dan? If I had to guess a wing player who achieved this, I'd think Pippen. Never would I have guessed Majerle.
Great job, Big Al.

It's crazy that Al had a career high in 3s and JT had a career high in assists, in the same game, and for both, in their first Finals game ever.

If we keep our foot on the peddle defensively and make the Warriors work hard for their shots, we'll wear them out in the second half.
On offense, just gotta take care of the ball, be smart, and pass the ball around. Hoping we can still be hot behind the line.

I just read the Celtics are the first team in NBA history to win a game by double digits after entering the 4th quarter down double digits. Of course this happened on the road.

Yup, that was truly an impressive showint the last 1.5 quaters of the game. People talking about how the Warriors' defense collapsed in the 4th. What they're not talking about is how OUR defense completely shut them down. A measley 16 pts in the 4th from the high powered GSW offense!! C'mon folks, talk about that.

Tatum, when asked about what the team can do to not have bad third quarters, said they cannot ease their way into flow of the game (paraphrasing).
That right there is the root of all our struggles -- easing their way into the game. When we start games off poorly that's exactly what I feel they're doing. And rough Q3's are the same way.
They can't ease their way, not in the playoffs, especially not against the Warriors. They have to come out and be the tone setters.

I keep hearing the Warriors are going to bounce back. I would love to see how they will dramatically improve from dominating 3 and a half quarters while continuing to hold Tatum to very bad shooting. Also they're veteran advantage is going away. Last night they had like 123 games of finals experience to 0. Let's just say it was 1. That would be 123 times more experience. By the time you get done with game 5 you only have 4 or 5 times as much experience. The Celtics won't be in Finals awe pretty soon. And the Warriors are coming back to Boston soon. Here's a question. Can Steph keep shooting the way he is? Because he had that blazing first quarter, but not so much after that.
The Celtics showed they can have a bad game and beat the Warriors on the road. The Warriors showed they can have a good game and lose at home. I am absolutely starting to feel the disrespect right now.
