Analytics favor us. Betting places favor the Warriors.

I saw that 15 of 20 ESPN "experts" picked GS. SI had it 8-5 for GS. Almost everyone on both sites had it as a long series, 6 or 7 games.
As always, health will be a key , if not THE key factor.

Would love to prove them all wrong. Everyone lauding their young guys and their legendary core, and coach.
Let's show them we're the new sherrifs in town.

Can ESPN's BPI metric be trusted?

In 2008, 7 of 8 ESPN "experts" picked LA over BOS. Tim Legler picked BOS. He's picking us again.

Tim Legler is a smart man đź‘Ť
Shannon Sharpe picks us. So does Chris Broussard. And of course Perk.

Another article from 538: fivethirtyeight.com/features/we-might-be-overrating-the-celtics-but-youre-probably-underrating-them/This kind of article, though favorable to the Celtics, drives me crazy because it uses stats that I think are completely irrelevant. Just like it makes no sense to include ANY stats from the Celtics first half of the season, because they had some different players, but more importantly, were playing very differently, likewise it makes no sense to include GS stats from the parts of the season where Klay was not back yet or when Steph was out with injury. I think it's fair to say that, when relatively healthy, both teams are far better than their season long stats indicate.

Predictions for who wins this series?
I say Celtics in 6. I'd love to see them win it at home.

Predictions for who wins this series? I say Celtics in 6. I'd love to see them win it at home. I really want that to happen. I want to believe it will happen. But there's something holding me back. If today is a battle and a close game, even if we lose, I'll feel good about our chances.

Game 1, what the numbers say:
Lowest scoring quarter: BOS 24, GSW 22.
Highest scoring quarter: BOS 40, GSW 38.
Our defense and offense did better than theirs.

The one thing I will say about this series or maybe just an observation from Game 1...
After the physicality of the Bucks and Heat...it almost felt as if I had been trained to expect violence and was surprised by the lack of it. It became more finesse-based?
Which also brings me to my 2nd point. We used Grant heavily when we needed physicality. Perhaps this series needs someone like Kornet?
