Here we are Celtics fans. The Jays, Marcus, and especially Horford are entering their first Finals series and will face the mighty Golden State Warriors.
At least the Warriors aren't a physical and bruising team like MIL and MIA. We've had enough of the ground and pound game.
Hoping for a good series, and the championship.

And the Jays and Smart have their share of W's vs the Dubs.

Man it's gonna be fun to see the C's in the finals again. It's crazy to think back to where a person was in life the last time the C's were in the finals.
I feel like this series will be like playing against the Nets, except with much better defense. The C's are gonna have to be on point on every defensive possession. but on the flip side, the C's should be able to impose their will on the offensive glass. this team needs to get extra shots off the glass to compete against GS.

It's nice to be playing someone other than the Lakers in the Finals, since 1984 we've been in the Finals 5 times and faced LA 4 of those times (84, 85, 87, 08, 10).
It's also nice to be playing a team I don't hate. It makes the tension while watching less.
Should be a good match-up. One thing I like is that the schedule is spaced out, with 3 days between all games except Games 3 & 4 in Boston - which are 2 days apart. Should help Al. And with us only playing 7 players (which might change vs GS) all the guys could use the rest.

I'm very excited to see a different type of series. Bucks/Heat I feel were very similar in terms of physicality and their offense being a bit one-man led (Greek Freak / Butler). Wonder if we'll see any guys get more run in this type of series and I really, really hope RWill gets a bit more mobility to him. I think he looked really hurt out there in Game 7 and didn't move that well.

In the post-game locker room speech, Ime gave Rob credit for playing in pain and the whole team cheered, so they all know what he's been dealing with and it must be significant. We can only hope that 3+ days off helps.

Honestly, I'm worried because I know we have a tendency to give games away.
I think we can definitely win -- but we need to do all the right things for most of the game and series.
We need to disrupt their offense and attack their defensive mismatches -- Curry isn't a defender at all, and Klay may not be who he once was. Make them pay.

What worries you guys about the Warriors?
What makes you confident our guys can squash that concern?

I'm worried about the likes of Looney the most. More so than Curry or Klay. I know its crazy but without a healthy Rob Will...the number of 2nd chance offensive boards that Looney could generate IF we don't box him out correctly (looking at you Grant Williams) would frustrate the hell out of me.

They have guys who are in constant motion and if we continue to only play 7 guys we could get tired chasing them around. I think Ime needs to find Pritch and Theis some minutes in this series, and I think he will.

Ok, so I'm expecting Ime to have a gameplan for if/when the Warriors double up on Tatum.

I'm concerned about the big runs that the Warriors can go on with a barrage of 3's.
We need to disrupt them and get defensive stops.

Quite simply, we need
- 9 players playing sticky switching defense
and
- 9 players contributing buckets

As good as the Warrior offense is, they had the second most turnovers for the season. If we can force turnovers we'll not only be able to get out and run, we'll take shots away from a great-shooting team. Pressure D is the key to me.

Which will hopefully lead to easy transition buckets. We got to find ways to get easy points.
