After tonight's performance, and many others throughout this postseason, I'm wondering if it's sound logic to think that, with another year of experience and development under their belt (especially these high caliber playoff games) that next year we can depend on GWill, DWhite and Pritch to be rock solid contributors.
We do really well when our bench is contributing.
Do you guys feel these three can combine to average 30 a night?

10 points each? Yes these guys should be contributing (and have the ability to do so) 30 points a night in total.
So far I've liked Nesmith's highlight defense in these playoffs..so heres to hoping more time gets him growing into the 3&D we want him to be

I looked up their 2022 playoff averages and the three of the them are averaging 24 points this year. Can they each get one more basket per game next season? Sure.
White historically has been a better shooter than he's shown in Boston. Pritch just needs more playing time, and Grant's shooting and scoring numbers have gone up every season.
Re Nesmith, that kid is much more athletic than advertised, plays incredibly hard, and has an very fast release on his shot. He just needs to learn to play hard but stay calm at the same time. I still think he's going to be a good player. I hope he plays summer league to help him get his confidence back in game situations.

Familiarity breeds confidence. Getting comfortable in, and owning their roles should assist their production.
Do you guys think Rob will average a double double?

If he can stay healthy, definitely. Last night he almost had a double double in 19 minutes. If he could ever play 30 minutes per game, he'd be good for 15 pts, 12 rebs and 3 blocks per game - maybe more if he started taking that mid-range (non-jump) shot of his.

I agree, JMost.
So, with our role players having ceilings they are closer to reaching, our championship window is only now cracking open.
Just hoping Horford can play at a high level till we win it all.

Al certainly looks like he has at least two more years in him, maybe more.

RWill averaged 10.0 PPG & 9.6 RPG this year on 29.6 MPG. I'd be shocked if he doesn't average a double double at some point. My question is - can we count on him to be available to play games when it matters most?
This playoffs he's missed about half of the games (7 out of 15) and he's averaging 8.3 PPG & 5.8 RPG on 21 MPG.

He was playing amazing before that. Healthy, Rob could average 15 and 12, with 3 assist, 3 blocks and 2 steals.

Rob is such a good shot blocker that I don't think his stats for blocks fully reflect how much he affects the other team's offense. In Game 4 vs MIA you could see multiple players, including Butler, come into the lane, see him there, and change their mind about shooting. He's definitely in their heads. And he's done a great job this year staying out of foul trouble.

So right here we have 4 key role players who will most likely play better next year:
Rob DWhite GWill Pritch
Imagine what this team playing in the ECF with a good chance to make the Finals can do if these 4 young guys play with more consistent production.
We'll be right up there with MIL to be favorites out of the East.

If true that Nesmith is possibly a trade chip to get a second round pick, it would seem that it's partly due to salary cap implications. But I also have to think either our front office doesn't see him reaching his ceiling, and also maybe they see Juhann Begarin as a guy who potentially fits more.
That, and maybe there are targets in the second round who they like more than Nesmith.

I don't see Nesmith being traded for a second rounder. Are we going to find a guy in the 2nd that can play D and shoot as well?

I don't see Nesmith being traded for a second rounder. Are we going to find a guy in the 2nd that can play D and shoot as well? I think the answer there could be yes. In particular I think if we end up with 2 2nds we can try to address two things. I would also say I'm not so sure you're really trying to get players that can help now. I think it could be a move you hope will be ready a couple years down the road. Like a fantastic pick would be one that can replace most of Theis' production now, while eventually replacing Grant William's production later. Because you will need that if Grant moves up to replace Horford. Also you want to look at guys like Pritchard. It may not be easy to keep him here. You have to start looking at what can replace that now. Like Yam Madar. Begarin might be ready to replace Nesmith now. Sam Hauser might be ready to replace Nesmith soon. Also there's money. If they can do the same stuff for less money then there you go. How much does Kornet cost? How much does Stauskas cost? Can they at least be reasonable copies of those guys in practice? If they can't you can cut them and keep Stauskas.

We need another shot creator -- especially in these high intensity playoff defensive battles.
