Are you telling me I'm hot, BC? Thanks ;D It's either... Get a room, you two. or Open the door every now and then Derren. I'm getting warm just thinking about it. ;D We've had a real warm and dry winter in Iowa. Keeps the 'work hours' down on my snow-blower. (Keep it clean Fresh, EJA and RunMaster.) Wasn't trying to set myself up here. Its been real mild up here in Fargo as well. ANd besides for one big storm, we havent had much snow.

Lots of ta;l on the espn.com board about a trade rumore between us and minny. wed give up Blount/Banks/Davis for Wally/Kandi. That would get a big thumbs down from me. Wed be gietting rid of bad contract, and getting another one in return.

That same rumor is all over the Wolves boards, too. I don't like it because Wally has a Raef like contract and we would have major bucks tied up until 08. I don't think Wally is that much of an upgrade over Ricky and he costs 3 times as much. I am hoping it is just rumor and that if we deal with them it will be Kandi for Blount straight up, which works.

It works for us but I'm not so sure about Minny. Does the deal even out dollarwise, then we get to drop Blount? I mean is it a net plus or minus? Did you really think we could just get rid of Blount for free? I sure as hell didn't. I don't love the deal but I am sure tempted by it.

twolvescentral.com/default.cfm?pageref=mboard&fmact=message&thrid=15857I believe this is where the rumor started. I am a bit hesitant to put any faith in it since it was a poster with like 50 posts who brought it up and it was originally posted on the 16th and has been making the rounds since then. May just be a poster's active imagination. Or then again... who knows. Since Blount has a 15% trade kicker and Wally has a 10% trade kicker, it supposedly works out. I don't like it at all. We don't need to take on that kind of salary for a player who really isn't that much of an upgrade.

I will make no predictions here. All I will do is hope that Blunt is gone by tommorrow morning for whoever.

But don't expect anything else from him.

If we were to get Wally (ughh), we would be much like the Knicks and Allan Houston; paying a guy a bunch of money to hit jump shots and not do much else. I'm sorry. I'll pass.

ok.....here goes.
I predict that the Kings and Pacers will tentatively agree upon a trade for Ron Artest for Peja straight up, only to find that a few hours later Sacramento will back out of the deal because Ron Ron will bark at the idea of going to Sactown.
This is a pretty bold prediciton, but something tells me it'll happen.

I’m not making any predictions here, but hopefully the rumored Banks to Seattle deal can be expanded and we can get back either Fortson or Reggie Evans. We need another guy who can knock players to the floor. We are too soft. The only bruiser we have is Perk, and when he is on the bench we get killed down low and on the boards.
And even when Perk is in there, many times he is defending the other teams best big, and he is drawn out to the perimeter at times, leaving either Raef, Blunt, Scal, or Big Al by themselves, and the other team crashes the boards. (Maybe this is just our defensive philosophy). It just seems as if we can never get that crucial O rebound or D rebound when we need it.
Reggie Evans might be a better fit than Fort, but we just need another rebounder desperately.

I would like to see Danny Fortson in a Celtics uniform again. But I do think he has a big contract though.
As a consolation prize, Brian Scalabrine is playing better and could add more toughness upfront off the bench. More fans are warming up to him and not booing him anymore. I still think we have more to see out of Scal. He's a good guy to have on the team.

I am glad to see all you guys that posted pre-wally saying that you didn't want him and that he was a poormans Peja. After reading all this positive trade talk on the other threads, I was beginning to think everyone was crazy. Thank you for being rational and agreeing that we are paying WAYYY too much for this guy, and giving up too much...it's a real relief to see that not everyone is on Satan Ainge's bandwagon to oblivion
