What Smart has to be made to understand is that there is almost always a better option for the team than him shooting. This idea (that Brad supported) that if you're open, shoot it, is so wrong. I remember reading a story about the Spurs a few years ago where they talked about passing up a "good" shot, to get a "great" shot. I can't tell you how much I hope Ime brings this mentality with him to Boston. If Udoka is asking Tatum and Brown to pass and make others better, I'm expecting this message to be made clear to every player. Taking too many ill advised shots will not sit well with this coach.
