Yup, that’s my assessment as well. He’s multi-dimensional and diverse in his attacks now, and able to correctly decipher what to do with the ball. Like you said, his moves were predetermined and limited.
Like the article stated, Tony Dobbins has helped Jaylen to think a play ahead, see more than just what’s in front of him, and that has opened up Jaylen’s offensive game. He’s got counter moves now, using one move to set up another move.
What Jaylen needs to prove is this is his norm — not just a hot streak that will eventually go away, but the new level he has reached.
Then we can ask, what’s next for Jaylen.

That is a high level move Jaylen executed with ease and confidence. Only tons of reps can get you there.
I’ve never been this excited over Jaylen before! Truly impressed with his decelopment.

Still only 28 games into the season, which technically isn’t the early part of the year, but still a whole lot of games left to play, is what we are seeing from Jaylen Brown his new norm?
Remember last year, Marcus Morris was our early MVP with his efficient scoring, and we wondering if he had improved in this area, only to be disappointed when he returned to his usual self.
Jaylen, so far, has consistently been really good. He’s taking advantage of his opportunities, and not forcing it. He knows when Kemba is feeling it, when Tatum is hot, when Hayward is being maestro on offense, that he needs to be patient. But he also knows in the flow of the game, the ball will fall in his hands, and to his credit, he’s been capitalizing.

He's had some duds against good teams (Both Philly games, LAC) so I'd like to see him take the step against the top opponents. Can't say he hasn't already surpassed my expectations this year though.

Jaylen is scoring in so many different ways, and so efficiently, that I don't seem him dropping off at all. If anything, his confidence continues to grow and he's getting better almost week by week. Danny hit a home run drafting him and Tatum.

I think Brown's biggest improvement is the ability to play Brad's read and react offense. Years 1-3, he had 1-move and if the defense covered, he had no counter move. Year 4, he has multiple moves. I think Brown, and Ingram will surpass Simmons value as best of that draft class.

Jaylen made a couple of plays tonight (vs the Sixers) that made me rewind the clip to verify what I just saw. It wasn’t the two hand dunk over Embiid (which he smartly got out of the way), but the sharp, precision dribbling and then some timely hesitations against a really good defender Matisse Thybulle that shook him free from layups.
This whole season has been a breakout year for Jaylen, and I think this game could be another marker that signaled Jaylen has taken yet another step in his development.

He deserved to be an all star, he has been out best player this year and it really isn't close. I hope he gets there next year.

I would have voted for him over JT for sure. They were saying on the broadcast last night (76er game) that the coaches look hard at the advanced stats and maybe those favor Tatum. Both have been really good though. I wonder if last night being an ABC game JB had extra motivation to show his game off to those who left him off the All-star team.

Now if JT could only finish at the rim, I would side for JT. He leaves 4-6 points every game here.

When this thread was started we thought JB was going to get $20 mil per year, and we were discussing whether he'd live up to it. Now he's making almost $24 mil and I bet most or all of us think he's grossly underpaid compared to some of the other stars in the league.
fivethirtyeight has a lot of interesting stuff. I started going there for politics but they've really branched out.
