The Pacers are having the same issue with Domantas Sabonis. That could be a win win trade. Domantas wouldn't have to play next to Myles Turner any more. The Pacers would get something good for Domantas. Oladipo is out for a while. Two things need to be satisfied in order for me to do this trade. 1) We are confident Romeo Langford can have a better career than Jaylen, and 2) IND throws more into the trade (not straight up Jaylen for Sabonis).

Jaylen is going to be better than Sabonis. No to that trade. If Jaylen continues to grow as he has so far, yes, I think he would live up to that contract. The question will be if they want to pay both Jaylen and Jayson. If it is one of the two, I'd go with Jayson.

We'll see how he looks this year, but I think he's a strong candidate to move on from in a trade.
I really like him, off the court and when he's doing well on the court but find that I'm always 'waiting' for that jump in offensive quality that he probably won't realistically make.

Giving him a 25+ mil per year contract may come in handy down the line, when we’re looking to match up salaries for a big time player. If Jaylen has a really good year, Ainge may very well give him a big contract.

Jaylen has so far exceeded my expectations of him. Looking like a player who is on track for stardom. Making much better reads on whether to take the perimeter shot or drive to the basket. And on his drives, he’s looking much more sure of what he wants to do. A number of times now, he got right up to the basket, pump fake and get the easy 2.

The last 2 games have been wonderful and he's shown some burst of speeds in game that made everyone else seem slow. The difference will be if we see this consistently or if he's just going through a "good" stretch. Likewise, I'm not sure what's up with his foul trouble issues.
Either way, when he's "on" I think he's our best player cause of his impact on both ends which is why I think we've always been so high on him with potential... so I'm really hoping he can consistently bring it this year and I think his averages will tell the tale in the end.

I don’t want to jinx anything, but the way Jaylen is playing this season, I’m way more than impressed!! So I’m often wondering, is this the new standard for Jaylen? Or is he riding a tremendously lucky wave only waiting to fall back to his previous norm?
I’m truly hoping it’s the former👍

This is easily the best he's ever played. The thing that strikes me is how controlled he is now. He's not charging at the rim intent on jamming everything. So far I have to say he's made that big jump I was hoping for. They talk about how the game slows down for QBs in football after a year or two and I imagine the same thing happens in basketball. Guys start seeing the court better, reading the situation faster, and thus become capable of making the right play more often. That's what I'm seeing from JB.

That’s the biggest difference with Jaylen this year — he’s dictating what he’s doing on offense, rather than just recklessly dribbling and not having a clue what he intends to do. His dribbles have tightened up, his moves in space actually gains him separation now, and he’s using multiple moves when he’s initially countered. Maybe he’s actually benefitted a few things from Kyrie after all.

I was basically giving up on him making this big of a leap only because you rarely see it. Specifically the stuff he improved on - usually a player either shows he kind of has a feel for the offensive game and improves very slightly or if he doesn't he never gets it.
Brown is looking great and I couldn't be happier with his year (minus the time missed) so far.

He's definitely the most consistent player outside of Hayward/Kemba on this roster. Now, if Tatum can string together some strong games together.. I like our chances for a deep playoff run.

And to think all he needed for this success was a haircut 😁
