With what Ainge publically stated, and what Bulpett and Woj also confirm, we are going after AD regardless if Kyrie wants to stay or not.
I like this message that Ainge is sending to Kyrie — with or without you, we have big plans for this team.

Sounds like Danny is still holding firm and not including Tatum.
No one knows for sure, but Danny might be dangling Jaylen with lots of other assets, or if he offers Tatum, there will be less assets to go along with him.

I can almost guarantee that the package as of now is Brown/Smart/[HASH]14 pick and then either more draft picks or another player to match AD's. Which that is still better than the Fakers offer, Ball and Ingram aren't good enough to trade for one of us on this board, let alone a star like Davis.

I don’t know, I think I’d trade EJA for Lonzo 😁 (Ball will at least pass the ball to me). I’d have to think that offer you mentioned is pretty much what’s keeping us a tad higher than the Lakers. Otherwise, a deal would have been done already. Griffin is probably trying his hardest to get Tatum, but even without him, our offer is still hetter than LA’s.

Trade Tatum if we have to. AD is a much, much better player. And as I said a few times during the season, I'm less convinced than I used to be that Tatum is going to be better than Brown.

Ainge just need to keep either Tatum or Brown but, not lose both unless they're bringing in quality starters to fill other roles i.e Point Guard.

To me, one huge thing has changed that makes trading for AD even more tempting - the injuries to KD and Klay that make GS less of a factor in the 2020 season. That alone makes the path to a title more wide open (for everyone). With so many of the other top teams in the East possibly losing star players (TOR, PHI, MIL), and GS unlikely to be at peak power in the playoffs (if they even make it that far), next year may be a unique opportunity. I have no idea how much credence to place in AD's agent saying we if trade for AD it will be for one year only, but I expect Danny to try to get it done anyway.

It was for trash too. Brickkayer Ball, Blood clot Ingram, Heart and 4 first round picks.
Go after Capella as he only makes 18M and is easy to match with Smart and filler such as picks.
Then get Rozier,Rubio, or Beverly to replace Kyrie and we will have a good starting 5.

But that Lakers' package, no matter how much makeup the media tries to put on that pig, is not good.

Griffin just lost all the respect that he had built for himself as a GM with this trade.
This is Kwamie Brown for Gasol all over again.
And it is for 3 first round picks...not 4.
On the good side.LeDoucebag will miss a food amount of time because he is on the decline and so will AD as he is always hurt.
I guess AD is on the list of douche bags with LeFlop since he and his douche of an agent pretty much crapped on us.

Adam Himmelsbach said there was never a time that we were close to making a deal for AD, meaning Danny wasn't placing all his chips on the table.
I'm just curious what the recent talk from Danny and Wyc was all about? Danny said he's not afraid to take chances, and Wyc said he agrees with Danny.
It could mean Danny is not afraid to trade for Anthony Davis, who could've left after one season, but not necessarily mean Danny would've traded away the entire chest of assets for AD.

According to Mannix, the draft picks were the deal breaker (I'm paraphrasing him). I believe the Lakers' picks are non-protected. Seems Griffin was after draft picks and young talent, as was Danny in our rebuild phase. Since Danny wouldn't offer Tatum, and our picks weren't high, Griffin had no choice but to take the Lakers' offer.

If that is true then why not make the Fakers include Kuzma? He is the only other player than LeFlop who has any trade value at all.
This has the NBA helping the Fakers in spite of their incompetence all over again
We won't know for sure until the next few drafts and if they keep on winning the lottery.

According to Ramona Shelburne, depending on what was agreed upon, the Pelicans may own the Lakers' draft picks the next 7 years!! The Pels could have the right to swap picks.
Wow, that could be huge for the Pelicans in a few years when Lebron is a normal (old) basketball player.
