So you take the same guys who missed the playoffs with LeBron, team them with Zion and expect what exactly? Not impressed with the Lakers young guys. Probably one of the reasons why they didn’t make that trade with LA at the trade deadline. They’re looking for better trade packages.

I am not either, Ball was all hype and Magic was lazy and took the flashy pick. Ingram doesn't have the build to put on "man muscle" as he gets older and therefore is no more than a 6th man on a championship team because he will constantly get hurt due to his body type. This isn't taking into account his blood clot issue that he has that caused Bosh to retire early. Kuzma is the best of the bunch but regressed last year and shot a Ball or Smart like 30% from 3 and that isn't what you call a centerpiece for a trade for a top 5-10 player in the game.

Any way it goes N.O. will likely lose the trade. Basketball is unlike other sports in that 3 or 4 good players don't equal 1 great player. The best they can hope for is get the best bad deal, and then hope they get really lucky with one of the picks they get.

In the next few weeks, I hope to hear that Kawhi is considering Boston as a free agency destination. Having heard anything yet, but crossing my fingers.

I've said this before, but I don't see how we can fit either Kawhi or KD under the cap. Even if Kyrie walks, Al restructures, Baynes opts out, we let all free agents go, we're still over the cap. What am I missing?

My hope is that Durant, having already made his millions, won't care about the money -- just wants to be with a team who will take down the Warriors. Hoping he'll sign an inexpensive deal.

I know KD and Draymond have had their differences, but is there other animosity I don't know about?

It’s behind the scenes stuff. It compunds the issue when folks are saying that the Warriors don’t need KD, and that the offense is better without him. Here he thinks he was a blessing for them, only to know realize he was nothing more than a spare tire.
I hope the two titles he’s won with GS is losing its luster. Beating them in the Finals should be his main priority.

“Sources” at the combine in Chicago are saying that our potential trade package for AD is most attractive.
That’s my unbias opinion too.

I agree, I want to keep Brown and Williams since I assume that Tatum will be the centerpiece of the deal. Pairing up Tatum with Zion is a very nice start while we would be also sending them Smart and possibly Rozier in a sign and trade too with picks. That starting lineup is already better than the Fakers starting lineup from last year.
I think the best case scenario is that we keep those guys and our starting lineup is Kyrie, Brown, Gordon, Al (reduced salary that was mentioned before with additional years added to his contract) and AD with Morris, Baynes, Williams and then some ring chasing guards to come off the bench.

Now that my disgust with Kyrie's play vs the Bucks has had a week or so to die down, I'm good with that roster.
Moving Smart alone will add 5 years to my life.

Just running through a potential lineup if AD lands in Boston and Kyrie stays:
Kyrie Jaylen Hayward Davis Horford
Hmmm... on paper that could work. But it would look even better if we could get Durant in there too (on a very cheap team friendly deal).
