I just read a weak speculative rumor the Bulls might trade Butler for just the 3rd pick or that and something weak.
When you think about it....if we come out of this offseason with
Butler Hayward Lakers 18/Sacto 19 Nets 18
Then Ainge has done an incredible job
That would be not so different for getting Butler for nothing and Hayward for money

The Miami pick doesn't excite me. They were something like 30-11 to finish the year. I only like it if the Lakers like Ball and the C's are fine with either Jackson or Tatum. That way they really can't lose.

You would imagine they'd have to give up Crowder in the deal to make room on the roster as they play similar positions.

So we have the 3rd pick and PHO has the 4th pick.
They want trade with us, willing to give up an asset just to move up ONE spot. That tickles the imagination!!
Is Phoenix worried that some other team(s) are trying to get that 3rd pick from us too, possibly taking the player they want (heard they like Fox, and maybe Ball)?

I think Pheonix wouldn't worry too much about who we pick. They have quite a few needs and if we took Ball or Fox, I see them taking Smith Jr ( if they are PG-starved )..but more than likely will aim for a wing like Tatum or Jackson. Things could change if the Lakers take Jackson and they badly want Tatum...then I see them giving up their pick with us.

Celtics had Tatum in for a workout today. They saw him out inj LA and liked him and now have had him in for an individual workout. A source familiar with Tatum's solo workout said he impressed with his shot-making and footwork in the drills he participated in.
Ball and Jackson still not agreeing to come in for a workout.

FL that made my day! I'm a big Tatum fan..more so because he looks like a very good kid who'll work his !!!GREENIAC!!! off. Ball is the last person I'd want on the Cs...not after how his father has acted

Seems like a great kid and a hard worker.

Ainge did say that he would take a player who didn't work out for us.
But all in all, I think Tatum is our pick if we stick @ [HASH]3.

So, Ainge feels he can get the player he wanted at [HASH]1 with the 3rd pick -- meaning Markelle wasn't his first choice to begin with.
So he didn't lose sleep over the trade with Philly, cause he still gets his guy, and he also gets a chance at another high draft pick in 2018. It's a win win for Ainge.
Ainge is looking for shot creators, especially those who can go get points late in games -- I feel those guys are Tatum and Smith Jr.

Two highly ranked players who will see a semi slide are Josh Jackson and Jonathan Isaac.
