10 days till the draft and things are going to heat up as far as rumors and news of workouts, etc. Figured it would be good to have a thread to keep track. Just saw this on Twitter
High lottery pick Josh Jackson canceled today's workout with the Boston Celtics according to Jeff Goodman and Marc Spears. Reading some reaction to this. Word is that Jackson has a promise from a team. Jackson hasn't worked out for the Sixers yet so rumors are that the Lakers are the ones giving him a promise. Well that would send Lonzo on down the draft, maybe to Sixers or maybe lower. But then again, maybe the Sixers promised Jackson without a workout. Things are getting interesting.

Wow, not another high pick choosing not to workout for us. First Lonzo, now Josh. Guess all agents know Ainge is taking Fultz.

Lonao's dad desperately wants him to go to the Lakers and as a lifetime Lakers fan, he doesn't want him on the Celtics. I don't think that decision had anything to do with who the Celtics are taking. Now, Jackson may have made that decision thinking that the Celtics are taking Fultz so why waste his time, especially if he has a promise from the Lakers or the Sixers.

If Ball doesn't go at [HASH]2, I doubt Philly takes him. They have Simmons, who they feel can run the Point. Plus, that'll mean they have 2 Points whose main criticism is their shooting.
So if Lakers take Jackson, I wonder who Philly takes?

Actually I would think the Sixers would take Ball. He's a better shooter than Fox and they have pretty good forwards but need better guard play. They're a young team and Lonzo took a young UCLA and made everyone on that team way better.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical, Markelle Fultz has hired Raymond Brothers of I AM Sports & Entertainment to be his agent. Brothers currently represents Portland’s Al-Farouq Aminu, Orlando’s D.J. Augustin, Chicago's Jerian Grant and Memphis' Zach Randolph. I'm pretty sure that he represented Tony Allen at one time also.
Adam Zagoria of Zagsblog.com reports Fultz is expected to visit with the Lakers this week. The Lakers are also working out Kentucky's De'Aaron Fox on Tuesday.

Assorted draft rumors. That's two strikes against him with LA - One he was out of shape for his workout and 2 his dad is causing teams to think twice. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Lakers passing on him and taking another player with the 2nd pick. Marcus Smart had a bad workout with the Celtics because he had a cold the day he worked out for them and they still took him so I don't think one workout will sway them. I think they put more into what they learned from talking to him.

There is not a lot of info on players the Celtics have worked out but here is what I have found.
Celtics brought in Markelle Fultz, Marcus Keene, Tacko Fall, Michael Ojo, Braxton Key, PJ Dozier, Obi Enechionyia, Alize Johnson, Chandler Hutchison, Jacobi Boykins, Malik Monk, Harry Giles, TJ Leaf Jonathan Isaac against Erik McCree Dennis Smith Derek Willis Rolands Smits Dylan Ennis Antonius Cleveland (2 workouts) Jonah Bolden
These are all the names I have picked up from Twitter, etc who have been rumored to work out for the Celtics. I imagine most of these are for the 2nd round picks that we have starting at [HASH]37. No word of any of the other top picks working out for them like Fox, Tatum, etc.

Wouldn't shock me. Jackson is nearly the type of player Jaylen is, and Ainge obviously loves Jaylen.
If this is the pick, we better hope Jackson's shooting gets better.

Rumor floating of the 3rd pick and Saric and the Kings first round pick next year for the [HASH]1 pick. But Jackson and Saric seems to duplicate in positions we already have players.
That may go along with the Celtics actually wanting Jackson rather than Fultz. Also saw one scout saying that Fox may be Danny's guy if he can trade down.

I love Fultz, but I'd have to think about that. I think Saric's main position in the NBA is gonna be PF, and Jackson is gonna play at SF, so I think they'd work together.
