Oldtimeball, I hope your screen name isn't indicative of your idea of how basketball is played nowadays. It's all about the 3 ball now. That's why the game has gone away from the traditional big men and has moved way outside. If your team isn't shooting three's, you'll have a hard time competing. It is. Live by the three die by it. Trick s and gimmicks last only so long.G.S. died by it and this years dream team has a weakness.. Their front court. Darren kind of unsure about the tone. Lol.. Isn't shooting threes? Balance.. Hit your open shots. Don't force shots. Good offense includes utilizing the three point line but if you're going to stand around, not move the ball and chuck up threes all night then you're not going to be successful.. A good outside shot should open the middle of the court up.. As should a good inside game open up uncontested shots.

Sorry, didn't intend any negative tones! I'm a product of the late 80's and 90's so I'm not against the ball getting thrown inside. But if your team doesn't attack from the perimeter, you are at a disadvantage.
Even the Cavs, though not as crazy as the Warriors, take a good amount of three's. Jr Smith's long ball played a large role in their success and becoming champs.

I love fast breaks not into ESPN highlight hype.. Darren I truly believe that the way to beat GS dream team is with a great inside game. Don't fight on their terms.. The pats beat the greatest show on turf by sticking to fundamentals..
