I would bet my 401(k) that Brooklyn loses at least 50 games this season. they might be the least talented team in the nba. I will take that bet. Lol. My 401k against yours? Hahaha you'd be pretty depressed if you saw mine. At the rate I'm going, I won't be able to retire until I'm 95. But I'd definitely make a bet on the Nets season. Winner can pay the loser via PayPal. I always like making a friendly wager or two. Makes the season a little more fun. I'd do anywhere from $10 to $200.

As weird as this may sound, I won't mind "not" getting the top pick in 2017. I think there's going to be guys vying for the top spot who I don't feel will be the best player in the draft. Guys like Josh Jacksno, Harry Giles, and maybe even Markelle Fultz will all possibly be in the mix. But the guy I think will turn out to be the best is Dennis Smith Jr, and he's currently projected to go in the 3 - 6 range. Man, I can't believe you're not high on Fultz, DM. I love that kid's game. But I do agree, this draft has about 5 to 7 players all at a similar level at the top. But that could definitely change by next year. No one had KAT as the consensus #1 before he started his college career. 2018 is the year we need some lotto luck (another crappy Brooklyn season please!). DeAndre Ayton Would look great in Green.

KAT wasn't the consensus [HASH]1, but the talent was obvious that he belonged there. I see Josh Jackson as maybe a bigger question mark than the reservations I had about Jaylen Brown (and Brown wasn't near the top of my list).
I think that's why you see guys like Markelle Fultz moving up and challenging for the top spot. Too many questions mark about the top guys.

Yeah, last year both skal and jaylen briefly held the top spot on draft express. there's always a shakeup during the college season.

Wasn't aware of Fultz defensive abilities. Jumped up a notch in my eyes.
After watching some of his highlights, I can see why he's moving up. I would like to see him hit his 3's at a good clip at WAS. That should cement his place atop the draft.
I would think a couple of things that might keep him from being drafted [HASH]1 are 1) his lack of elite skills and 2) not being a pure PG.

Yeah, I guess. That's why I shouldn't make quick judgements without first seeing a player enough times to get a good handle of his game. I'll be sure to watch him when they show UW games.

Lol. Hey. Already backing off what we said? Fresh in the house.? I'm not sure what you're referring to. The bet? Because I'd gladly still make a bet. Haha I'm always up to gamble.

I'd never predict the order of players in the draft this early. Always in a season some players rise and some fall due to different circumstances. It's hard enough to predict the draft after the college season is over let alone before it starts.

I wonder if anyone did a study on players who rose quickly and didn't, or did, pan out in the NBA? I mean guys who weren't even on the national radar prior to college, or at some point in their college career, and then was taken in the top 5 of the draft?
Most recently, D'Angelo Russell made a huge jump his senior year of high school (having little fanfare prior to that), and ended up being the 2nd pick after a year at Ohio State. So far his career has not taken off -- but we'll see what happens in Year 3 in the NBA.

And i think this year will be his 2nd season.
