At 16, who is your realistic pick?
Mine is Montrezl Harrell.
What I'm seeing in this playoff series is how we need rebounding, hustle, muscle, attitude, and defense in the paint, and that's what Harrell can provide.
We actually need to draft a star scorer or a stud shot blocker, but they probably won't be available at 16. So we might as well draft a player who can impact an area of need, and to me that Montrezl.
We have Sully, but Harrell is way more athletic, way more energized, way better defensively, and he runs the floor much better.
With Smart, Bradley, Crowder and Montrezl, there's enough defensive attitude there to start WWIII.

Probably either Trey Lyles or Kaminsky. I want size. I'd also be pretty open to trades. I'd like to get closer to ten. If Kelly Oubre slips I could be ok with that maybe.

Going to be a tough call, I can't nail it down yet. Frank, Dekker, Turner maybe Portis. I haven't been a huge fan of Harrell but after this series we could really use his toughness and rebounding, he would be a really nice fit. We would be a mean team, I could be sold on that one DM.

Tough to pass on Turner's upside if he is there. It is tough to guess on later picks because you have no idea who will be available.

Wood with the Clippers pick would be great. We have the 33rd pick too, someone might slip that could be a really nice pick.

I'm hoping we can get Cliff Alexander with either Philly's 2nd or LAC's 1st.

Tonight's game only magnified our need for toughness and attitude inside. We need a beast who rebounds and plays mean inside.
Kaminsky is nice, but is more finess than beast. Myles Turner, if his legs check out clean, might help block some shots, but he's a teddy bear.
Cliff Alexender might be a beast, but I don't know if he has it between his ears (he might be a bit like Gerald Green). Just a notion I'm feeling.
Sorry guys, just caught myself tearing down the draftees I asked who you'd personally like to take. I'm still fuming after tonight's loss.

I like Cliff A with the second rounder hopefully. Possibly the 2nd first.

Yeah, he is intriguing. Just seems like a project to me, though.

Turner, Lyles, Jones, or Kaminsky. Trey Lyles is also a guy I'm trying to gauge my interest in. I do think he's got a ceiling that he's got room to grow into (meaning there's a higher caliber player in him that we haven't seen at Kentucky), but does he have one area in his game that can have a high impact in the NBA? Can he be an impact rebounder in the NBA, and average 10+ boards a game? Can his offensive game translate to 20+ ppg? Can he become one of the better stretch 4's in the NBA, and hit 3's at least to the level of Ryan Anderson? What we need is impact. When Brad Stevens puts a guy into the game, we need instant results somewhere on the court -- whether it be immediate results on the boards, on defense, in the scoring department, etc.

The draft does not have alot of players that can make an immediate impact.

Yeah, he is intriguing. Just seems like a project to me, though. Where our picks are, we are either going to be selecting projects or guys that have low ceilings.

I am very concerned about M Turner's legs. I'm no doctor but it sounds kinda horrifying.

Yeah, that is my concern too. He runs and moves with stiff legs and I just wonder if it's going to cause hip injury at some point and cut his career short.
