I'm assuming that DA is looking for some trades which might let him move one or two guys off the roster for second-round craft choices (even if conditional)

Maybe 2 or 3 players for 1 current NBA player.

I doubt it. He'll be trading from the bottom. 2 or 3 of t hose guys won't fetch in return anything very useful.

We can only have 15 players under contract once season starts. We have 17 right now. The 2 who are most likely to be cut is Curtis Borchardt and Will Bynum. Other possibilities include:
Tony Allen. After his run in with the law, it may have changed Rivers' and Ainge's thoughts about him.
Marcus Banks. Sustained an injury that will keep him out for a huge part of the year, if not the entire year. Was already pegged to be at least a 3rd string PG. But with Orien Greene coming on strong, Banks may slide down to #4. Orien comes in after missing all of the summer league games and is already showing the aptitude of running our team. Banks is in his 3rd year but still struggles with inconsistency. Its not likely we hold onto 4 PG's because roster space is so limited and we may need more depth up front.

One of today's articles indicated why Reed got so little time against Toronto. Went to check in. Pulled off his warmup jacket and didn't have on a jersey underneath.

Sounds like Ainge has some work to do with these guys under contract. Ferbo might be right, trading for draft picks. If Allen is one of the guys he wants to move, there will be takers. We might not get full value for him at this point. DA might be able to work out a multiple team trade.
