I would REALLY like to see some steps forward tonight.
For me probably the most interesting stat tonight will be minutes played by each guy.

I think we may see some different looks tonight. Maybe a starting rotation like this
Raef Blount Gomes Pierce Delonte
First guys off the bench are Ricky, along with Big Al. This should give us the scoring punch we lack. Rivers wants to separate Pierce and Ricky so that either one of them will be on the court at all times. And he wants to separate Gomes and Reed because when they're on the court together, ball movement stops (which is obvious because both guys are trying to carry the scoring load when Pierce and Ricky aren't playing).
We may see more of Orien Greene, and earlier in the game too. That's the natural conclusion I'd come to seeing how well Orien has been doing in his short amount of time on the court.
The Nets have been playing well. Richard Jefferson went off for 27 pts last night, and Vince Carter was having a dunk fest off the fast break alley oop passes.

If we can keep the TOs under 20, I'll be happy.

I want to see Justin Reed keep Richard Jefferson in check. I don't know if he can contain Vince Carter, but I do think his physical game should matchup well with Jefferson, who also plays with contact.
Yes, our PG's will have a big test tonight. Defensively, Jason Kidd is still one of the best. Teams are trying to press us because they know how young we are.

It will be interesting to see how Doc tries to match up with one of the likely division championship contenders.

We need to exploit them inside because they aren't a strong interior defensive team. The only thing is, we don't have many interior scorers. AJ will have to provide us with some inside scoring as best as he can.
We have to do a good job of containing Richard Jefferson and Vince Carter. Let Jason Kidd kill us--not the entire Nets team.
We've been terrible defensively, so I hope we show life tonight. We can't expect to beat the Nets just by playing so so defense.

Are you refering to getting League Pass along with NBAtv? I do. My local cable provider has not brought in League Pass yet. They keep telling it'll come soon, but I'm still waiting. Its less than 10 days before the season starts, so they better get it in sometime early next week.
Game is just about to start. Hope the combination of players Doc will use tonight will give us a boost.
What this team is lacking is proven veterans. Both Dickau and Scalabrine can be considered veterans because they've been in the league for more than 3 years, but they're not proven. I certainly think they can play much better than they have been, but at the same time, we can't expect them to produce big numbers. We need proven veterans who can produce better numbers in order to stabilize our youthful team. I only consider Pierce, Ricky, and Raef veterans who can produce. I don't consider Blount in this group. Another proven veteran who can produce would be huge for us right now. Maybe a veteran rebounder and a veteran PG. Let Perkins and Jefferson grow into their roles instead of forcing them to grow at a faster rate.

Looking forward to some comments on t his one! Box was quite a surprise. Didn't figure Cs to take Nets this way. Kind of makes me think Nets were working on getting some non-starters PT.
Most o bvious thing to me was OGreen getting 19 minutes.

Jefferson only played 14 minutes. Kidd not at all. So....
Cs had more rebounds, assists, and steals (18).
