So all he really did was the Rodney Rodgers trade which was a good trade. Then the vin baker thing which wasn't really his fault. ownership forced that move because they weren't going to pay Rodney Rogers. Then he drafted JJ, Kedrick and Forte. He wanted Parker and Forte was Red's pick. And Darius Songaila. He actually was the only GM we ever had that wanted to take players from other countries apparently.

Just goes to show how lost the celtics were during those times though. From hiring Pitino who was supposed to be our savior and everything else. Even a great like Red can fall from grace pretty hard. Boston sports hasn't been all roses. The Red Sox and Patriots and Bruins have gone through some terrible stretches too.

Yeah, the 93-2002 Celtics runs shows how important ownership can be.
And, yeah, it seems like a Boston fans act like pro sports started in the year 2001. Prior to that, besides the Celtics, Boston pro sports teams were pretty awful when it came to winning championships.

There were 2 moves that solidified Rick Pitino as the worst GM ever. Deal #1, Pota-stinko for a selection (that ended up as Andre Miller); deal #2, Chauncey Billups for Kenny Anderson.
