I wonder if there was a sense of urgency because of the start of training camp next week? Well, he's ours now, so let the competition begin.
So who here thinks that Dickau is going to be the starter come opening day?

I do. I think he starts. Plus Ainge used a 2nd to get Dickau. This was a good trade. I smell 1 more trade coming to prevent cuts.

I believe part of our trade exemption was used to acquire Dickau, so it wasn't just a second round pick that we lost.
I think Delonte is going to be the starter. Just a gut feeling that I have.

Not at the beginning. I think it will be Dickau.

To me this says Greene will be number 3 PG. Banks will be moved, again.

Dickau would seem like the throne to the starter. West/Banks should give some good minutes off the bench.

Dickau is gonna start but he will get maybe 21-25mpg leaving room for West and Banks to play too.

I say Dickau starts with the first unit, with D West running with the second unit. Banks gets benched, or either moved. At times Banks can play the point with West sliding to the two for limited stretches, but Doc has already said he wants a clear cut starter, and clear cut backup.
Dickau has the best pure point guard skills that I think will fit well with the other starters. I think West has the intangibles though. We will see.
I think Banks will get moved with some other players (Woods, Borchardt, etc.) for a future pick/picks to clear some of the roster spots.

Well, I also would like to throw the idea of having both Dickau and Delonte in the starting lineup. Using them in the same way DJ and Ainge were used would allow Rivers to have 2 PG's on the floor at the same time, both of whom can shoot the ball. At least until Tony Allen comes back.
