Name your top 5 Celtics players you'd keep if you could only keep 5.
Most Celtics fans are excited for almost all of the players on the team. Keeping just 10 is hard for me. So you can imagine how hard this will be to narrow it down to 5.

Hey hey, BC, only top 5. Once you start adding more players to the list, even if its just your 6th and 7th option, you'll start a trend and people will start adding more than just 5.
BTW, just to clarify, you don't need to pick your top 5 players based on positions. I just want to know which 5 players you'd pick, regardless of which position.

Jefferson Green Perk Gomes West
Tough to keep Allen off of there......
Im basically just stating players I want to keep. Obviously I would pick Pierce if we were talking trade value.. I could keep Pierce and trade him for a better pg than West but then Im not keeping Pierce. Anyhow I would keep those 5 and build around that.

Consensus so far are Gerald Green and Al Jefferson. Lot of you guys put Ricky Davis and Perkins on your list as well. A few of you have left off Pierce, which is interesting. Not all Celtics fans see Pierce being here long term.
Here's who I'd keep:
Big Al Jefferson: How can anyone not have him on their list? Its an absolute no brainer. This kid has a very short learning curve because of how quickly he is able to pick things up. He's also got so much natural tools that its unfair to think how good he will really be in 4 years. He's going to be a scoring threat, a rebounding threat, and I even think he'll be a defensive presence as well. He's got the type of personality that can take the spotlight and be the focal point. In a nutshell, he's the type of guy you want to build a team around.
Gerald Green: Another no brainer. I think this kid has got tremendous potential to be one of the top wing players in the league. Many have said that he's reminiscent of Tracy McGrady. But I see him as a cross between Vince Carter and Ray Allen. With the right work ethic, he can excel at his position, whether it be at SG or SF. He's quick enough and he shows the aptitude to be a solid ball handler to be a SG, and he's tall enough to be a SF. With his ability to attack the rim and pull up for jumpers, even behind the arc, he's going to be a complete wing player.
Delonte West: He doesn't have a high ceiling, nor is my ideal PG. But he does have the right mentality (a win-at-all-cost mentality) and he's a very good fit for Doc's system. For those reasons alone, I'd keep Delonte. But he's also a very good shooter, he has a midrange game, and he's got an excellent feel for what to do. He's got the intangibles that players on good teams have--they come up with the ball at the right times.
I'll give you my final two picks after the coin I flipped into the air stops rolling on the ground.

17, youd keep Reed over Pierce? Just looking at the future Fresh. I see Justin as a Satch Sanders type of team player. Paul is more of a Bob McAdoo, IMO...
