That's the name of our NBDL team. Three other teams will be combining their players with our players on this team. Don't really know how this will work and how do you assure the players are learning the things the parent team wants them to learn? Say that Doc really wants Player X to work on his defense, but the coach of the Flames only cares about offense--is this beneficial for Player X?
So who do you guys think will be sent to the Florida Flames?
BTW, I hope the stats for these NBDL games are compiled daily. I want to be able to follow our NBDL players very closely to see their progress.

Just a thought... This might be a good place for Tony and Orien to work out their kinks after surgery. Any thoughts? Maybe a place to work on Bynum.

IMO this might be a good place to rehab our young players. Not to groom them. I want all the "potential tallent" practicing as one unit - in Boston - with their teammates...

I would like to see our NDBL players practice w/ the Major League team, but play games in the NDBL. Pipe dream. ;D
Greene, Bynum, perhaps a few players returning from injury.

Yeah Runner- The young guys are going to progress faster with the big-team, in most cases. Might be different with a non-drafted player or a foreigner new to the NBA pace.

So RR, you think Bynum sticks with us instead of being cut?
C17, I think the Flames will be used in a manner similar to a pitcher going down to the minors for a brief rehad assignment, like you mentioned. Get out the rust before playing at full speed again.

I wonder if Bynum is what Danny wanted Banks to be.
?
Another potential question.

roster: dickau/west/banks/greene davis/allen/green pierce/gomes/reed jefferson/scalabrine lafrentz/perkins/blount
the rest will be cut, so take potential three players from above-mentioned bunch. eligible for nbdl: west, greene, green, allen, gomes, reed, jefferson. not much of a choice or what: greene may be the only one if at all

I think we can only dress 14. Isnt that how it works now? The 15th dude can be sent to the NBDL right?
Me + New CBA = confused.
THe thing I dont get about these NBDL teams is, do each of the teams get to send any 4 3-4 players of their own choice right? So what if a team like C's ends up send 2 PGs? Lets say two other teams follow suit. Some of these teams are gonna have disproportioned line-ups.

Under the new CBA, there are 12 players on the active roster and up to 3 on the inactive list. We can send players in their first two years in the league down to the NBDL, but they still count against our roster's inactive list. Good question regarding the lineups for the NBDL teams. I believe we can send two players at a time. If 3-4 teams share an NBDL team, that would be 6-8 players, and the NBDL team will fill out the rest of their roster with draft picks and free agents. www.nba.com/dleague/nbdl/dleague_affiliation_050919.html

So just 12 on the active roster, huh? That's throws a kink into things. That means 3 players (assuming none of them are injured) will only be participating in practices.

We need the young guys melding with the others, game PT or not.

Reed, Bynum and Greene are the ones he should send though seeing they would see like 2 minutes of pt or so on the regular roster.

I knew that already. I knew that was a total no no.
