The last two high schoolers we've drafted are the ones with the highest ceilings on the team. Big Al Jefferson has the game to be an amazing PF who truly plays in the paint. Smooth criminal Gerald Green is a super slick and athletic. He comes equipped with top shelf athleticism, highlight reel dunks, and a sweet shooting stroke from downtown.
Both of these guys have star potential, but whose star will shine brighter?

we know what jefferson can become one day. there's always less big guys. and green is way to green to tell right now

I would have to fall in line with BC on this one. If given the minutes, I could see Big Al as a 12/8 guy, this season.

I'm gonna say Jefferson. Green's gonna be great, maybe a Tracy McGrady, but BigAl's gonna be very good. Tim Duncan maybe?

The safer pick is to say Jefferson, being that there are less big men who are stars compared to wing players. But I want to say Gerald Green because his athleticism is ridiculous. Not only that, but he has an aggressive side to him that says, "oh, you don't think I can do that, do you?". And seeing him in action, he doesn't shy away from the spotlight. Much like Jefferson, being in the spotlight doesn't seem to faze him one bit. Neither guy has that deer-in-headlights look.

The reason to pick Jefferson in this matter is probably the T-Mac hype on Green when in reality, he will be a Darius Miles without the baggage. But if he proves me and everyone else wrong, hes gonna be special. But Jefferson you can just sense he is future 20 and 10 material as long as he doesn't foul out in 17 minutes.

Jefferson, because the post has always been an opportunity for the Celtics. Plus, I have never seen Green play.

Right, Green could be anything. Nothing is set in stone that hes gonna be a star. Al Jefferson too though but at least we saw Jefferson play and know what he can be down the road. Green may not be any better than what Darius Miles is. Just because a player has freak athleticism and flashy dunks doesn't guarantee him stardom. Hes gotta be a smart player also.

i definitely think he's gonna be better than darius miles. miles was just a product of hype. i see miles very silimar to qyntel woods without the dogfighting incident. gerald green will pave his own path. what's it gonna be like? no one knows yet.

I think its obvious when you see Green's game, that his potential is far greater than Darius Miles'. Even their body language and the look on their faces is world's apart. You can tell Green is more aggressive and more willing to stick it to you than Darius.
Rather than being compared to Tracy McGrady, I think that Green is more similar to Ray Allen. Both have a quick first step, both have slippery athleticism, both are quick to the hole, and both have smooth shooting strokes. The reason why I see more of Ray Allen, and not McGrady, is because T-Mac slows the tempo down with his offense. Ray Allen is always on the move.

I'm going with my instincts and by what I've seen so far ! I'll go out on the Limb, and say that GREEN, will be the meanest basketball machine! One thing that I notice he has right now as a youngster is - "NO FEAR"! He somehow reminds me of Bird and Jordan when I first saw their games. This Kid looks like he will fear NO one and that he does possess a "killer instinct". That is something you can not teach ! THe sky is the limit. It is rare to see such a young player who has a monster DUNK and a SWEET JUMPER ! Most kids who possess that kind of dunking ability - do not develop a good "J" that early in their career. He has so, so much to build on and most of all, the right "Mentality". I say that the Grass is "GREENer"!
