Today, they're talking about Curry possibly being sign and traded to the Knicks (now, why isn't that surprising?). Mike Sweetney may be involved in this trade. I guess if it'll take Sweetney to get Curry, then Borchardt, Woods, and Bynum won't be enough. I may have to put my hopes of getting Curry away, finally.

well, paxson said "thanks but no thanks" when isiah offered sweetney. don't kid yourselves - it would take one heckuva package to net curry. and paxson is old-school - no trades within the conference!

Yeah, I read that he's trying to find suitors in Memphis and Denver, I believe. Paxson is playing hardball. He'll wait for the best deal possible, and if it doesn't happen, he'll hold onto Curry--even though he may lose him for nothing. Its all or nothing the way Paxson is playing.

Some team will bite and at least give them a 1st rounder. THey guy can score, if nothing else.

Well, this guy has talent, no question about that. He's only 22 years old and still has a boatload of talent yet to be harnessed. But to me, this is a low risk, high reward move. We need to get rid of some players anyways and even if Curry stinks it up, we don't need to keep him beyond next year. So we basically get him for relatively cheap money and audition him for our future team. If he doesn't fit, we can let him go. Simple as that. He's also a young guy who has improved every year. His rookie year, he averaged 6.7 ppg, 3.8 rpg. In his second year he went up to 10.5 and 4.4. His third year, he averaged 14.7 and 6.2. Last year 16.1 and 5.4. Remember that he is only 22 yrs old. He was born in the same year as Tony Allen, Ryan Gomes, Justin Reed, and Orien Greene. Curry has a tremendous amount of upside left in his game and he still has a lot of time to become the force he is capable of becoming. He just needs to be motivated. Stop now.

Curry's agent is not helping the situation. He is trying to play hardball as well. It would appear that Curry will not be taking the test the Bulls want him too, because they know if the results are not good, then Curry loses out.

Many sports agents are fools. But, their clients are their clients after all.

Curry's agent is causing a major rift between him, and the Bulls. I doubt Paxon backs down.

Seeing how a bad tift is brewing between Curry, his agent, and Paxson, wouldn't it make sense for Paxson to get rid of Curry now before the season starts so that he can eliminate any bad chemistry in the lockerroom?
Like I said, this is a perfect opportunity to see if we can unload some of our excess baggage (Woods, Bynum, Borchardt, or even Mark Blount) and see if Paxson will give us Curry. Eddie Curry is on his final year of his contract and will probably be playing for a big payday. If he doesn't, well, we lost nothing to get him and we can just let him go. But if he pans out to be an incredible player who's beginning to live up to his vast potential, well, we gave up nothing to get him, but we get paid a handsome reward.

Maybe a Banks vs one of the other players. Could Doc and the young guys make Woods a different player? A team player...

Possibly. But I've never really seen Qyntel play, so I don't know what type of game he has.
Banks could be used in an attempt to sweeten the pot. But only if Bynum and Orien Greene outplay him in preseason/training camp.
