I believe that there will no longer be an IL or IR. Each team will have a 14 player limit. Prior to the new CBA, a player could only have 12 on their active roster, so they'd put their remaining players on the IL. But now, there's no 12 man active roster--just a 14 player limit.
Cutting Woods brings us to 15, so we still need to drop a player. That's the reason why I think Ainge could still make a trade. Plus, Will Bynum is not on the roster and I think it will be a mistake to let him go to another team.

Bynum would give us 4 point guards. I dont see that happening, unless one or two of them want to suit up in the NBDL.

IMO Reed will be in the 8-9 man rotation. Just a hunch.
Maybe---maybe a trade of Banks and another of the players we got in the AW trade, for draft picks. Then we bring Bynum in to fight it out with West and Greene for PT.
Looking back at that...
Man that makes for young PGs, but the same is true if Banks is in the mix. We might need a vet PG just in case.

I just hope that PG isn't a piece of junk like a MUCH older Kenny or Travis Best or something....we had a very good vet last year in Gary, and well, even that didn't work out spectacularly...

The problem with Payton IMO was he wouldn't run. I don't think he got on board with Doc's system as much as we needed. This season we might be looking for insurance rather than a starter.

If we could lose Blonut and give that money to Curry, then I would do it, but since that is virtually impossible, I certainly don't think we need two centers without rebounding tenacity on the team.

Hmm.. I wonder if that's a possibility. I'm sure the Bulls don't want to lose a guy with as much potential as Curry has for nothing. Blount, despite being somewhat problematic, is a serviceable veteran who comes with a 6 million dollar per year contract. That's not extraordinarily high in this day and age.
And if the Bulls lose Duhon, they may want Banks to come along with Curry.

Gordon would start if Duhon was gone. Lets just play it safe and say no curry fried chicken on Boston even if it were to replace Blonut.

I still think we need something else here in Boston. Our talent level is just not up to par with what it should be. I know we have Green and Al as our POTENTIAL future stars, but there are no guarantees. Delonte, Perk, Allen, and Banks may end up as serviceable players, but none of those guys (except MAYBE Allen) will ever be a "semi-star". We all know Pierce won't be here forever. I just would feel more comfortable acquiring someone like Curry and dumping Blount (and Banks if necessary)...it's all about potential. He is still young. Look what Doc did with Ricky- why couldn't the same happen with Eddy?

Yep, I agree with that Jambr. That's why I'm hoping that we land a stud PG or Center. And that's why going after Curry, who still has so much untapped potential to be a dominant player, intrigues me.
