Blount is not going to be much of a factor. He will see his time diminish and he will be his own worst enemy. If he can come to terms with himself and find a way to be a happy camper despite being just a role player off the bench, he could be a serviceable 3rd or 4th option off the bench. Scalabrine's tough attitude and his scrappy-ness should put him ahead of Blount right off the bat. We'll see what becomes of Curtis Borchardt (if he makes the team or not--maybe NBDL bound, or waived even). But if Blount's attitude crumbles even more than it did at the end of last season, Rivers may opt to play Borchardt, if he shows any kind of fight.
But I caution anyone who still believes in Blount. His confidence is shaky, at best.

hahaha ;D Very true.
According to the Globe, we are actively trying to move Blount and his negative lockerroom presence. And if it takes Marcus Banks to get the deal done, well, say goodbye to Marcus (this is what they said--not me).

Yeah, I guess by now, most of you know that I'm not too high on Banks. For me, its not only about having athleticism. You need to have the right makeup (as in character and moxie), a solid sense of how to play basketball (like doing things without the basketball in your hands, or in the case of a PG, making plays happen without having to do too much scoring/dribbling), on top of having athleticism and skills.

I didn't mean it that way Brother. I meant most of us felt same thing. Not just you. I have my questions about Banks too.

If Blount puts in no effort whatsoever can't the team suspend him without pay for something like "conduct detrimental to team" or something?
Then him and Randy Moss could sit in a bar and talk about how they are the only ones that can make them play, and then I'll show up and be like "and your owners are the only ones that will sign your checks".
If I was Nike or something every time I signed a player to an endorsement deal it would contain language making it easy to fire a player for idiotic behavior. I emailed McDonalds and Coke and told them they should fire Kobe and they were both like "We aren't commenting on kobe while he has a legal problem" then I emailed back and was like "you missed the point. I'm not buying your products when you have admited adulterers advertising for you. It's innapropriate to have him in a commercial with little kids that want him on their team. This is why I won't eat at your place anymore" which was an empty threat but at least it was a threat

Blonut could even be released even though they'd have to pay him. If not, they should suspend him just for being a bad locker rom presense.

i'm pretty interested to see how blonut reacts to his last seasons play and the criticism from all fronts that followed. if he's the same dirtbag i will lose all respect for him. because right now i only hate his guts. i still have a respect for him as a hard worker. and i would be extremely happy if i got one less christmas present only to see blonut leave...
