I don't recall? I though we traded him to Charlotte along with someone else, but I cannot remember the details. If he did leave, still, shame on us for letting him go!

Just looked it up and he was acquired by Charlotte by FA. Too bad we couldn't have resigned him. Good call meltin!

Yea, it was the year Travis Knight got dealt here for Rick Fox and Wesley left on FA. Trading fox gave LA a piece to their title, how stupid of gaston.

Fox wasn't a bright move either. But we shoulda been able to keep Wes. Prolly didn't offer him enough. I mean he was scoring over 16 the season he left!

Maybe I'm just horribly misinformed but isn't liking Reggie Lewis like liking Len Bias or Roy Tarpley? (I think that's his name)

I wouldnt link Bias or Lewis to a guy like Tarpley. Lewis had a heart condition that he was born with. Im not sure of the name, but its the same one that killed Hank Gathers. He didnt die from an overdose. From what Ive read, Bias made one tragic mistake, and it cost him everything. He was a habitual user either. Tarpley on the other hand, has failed numerous drug tests. The guy loves the white lines.

We signed Travis Knight as a free agent. I also think we signed Andrew Declerq as a FA that summer as well. And people say the C's dont entice high level FAs! |

I guess ultimately they are both a form of natural selection but i was implying that if Reggie knew he had a heart condition and took coke and died that was pretty dumb. For Len I can understand trying something. you don't expect to die from it. But then again how much do you have to take to OD and die? I'm not sure how drugs work. Alcohol usually gives you a warning like throwing up, but I'm not sure about coke.
Fresh is saying Reggie didn't know he had a condition which makes a lot more sense. I hope he didn't know. I'm not even sure if he took coke. I guess that's why I'm trying to sort all this out. All this happened with Reggie at the very beginning of my Celts memories
