I didn't claim Orien to be better than Rondo, I said he is a similar player. But yeah, I do think Rajon Rondo has a good chance to be better than Orien (though Orien still has a lot of room to improve his game also). Rajon is an unreal player, much like Iverson in the way he can create things driving to the basket.

No, Rondo is around 6'2", maybe more. Not 6'5" though. I'm reading good things about Daniel Gibson, but from what I've seen of him, I don't know if he's that good. I mean, a solid prospect yes. But then again, I've only seen a couple of Texas games so I don't know his true game as well as I need to know.

Is Gibson in the TJ Ford mold? If so, Danny has to try so hard to get him.

Rajon Rondo to me sounds like he could be the type of player Ben Gordon is.

Man, Meltin, you are so way off. RR (Rajon, not RoadRunner) is nothing like Ben Gordon, at all. Their games are worlds apart. Rajon is a playmaking PG who doesn't have much of a shoting stroke--Gordon is a tweener who has some ball handling skills and a lot of scoring ability. Rajon is not a scorer, at least not like Ben Gordon. He's a playmaker who's just electrifying when he's roaming around with the ball in his hands and attacking.
Gibson is not in TJ Ford's mold. Ford is a gifted playmaker who will be one of the NBA's top assist men for years to come. I doubt Gibson will be that good. But where he might excel over Ford is his ability to score.

Jarret Jack. Antonio Daniels maybe. I gotta see more Texas games before I'm sure though.

in the next 2 years we get 4 2nd rnders and 3 first rnders if we don't get more picks for trading away a Banks or Blount. We need to trade 2 of the 1rsts and 3 of the 2s for a Greg Oden. Or 2 1rsts and Scala for a Daniel Gibson. Time to cash in the chips for a difference maker. A possible hall of famer instead of backups who may or may not beat out our current backups or just take their place. I don't think Al J should become a starter because finally 3 years from now Raef's contract runs out.

One of these years coming up will be "lean" year for the draft. Danny will have to go into his bag of magic tricks and come up w/ a player.
Right now, I am leaning towards J Boone from UCONN, based on where we may be drafting. A PF/C which will provide steady rebounding, and blocks. Can score, but doesn't have the "?" to take over a game, like former UCONN players like Butler, Okafor, etc.

Yeah, Boone would be a terrific addition to the team. I view him as a guy who can come off the bench and provide us with solid rebounding and defense. He needs to bulk up more to handle bigger post players in the NBA.
Greg Oden should be our top priority. Ainge needs to work his magic for this one. If there was ever a sign that we are destined to have a dynasty, we'll get our hands on Oden. Maybe this is our compensation for missing out on Duncan in '97.

The only way we get Oden is if we win the lottery. No team will ever trade that pick after they get it. The only other way is if Oden hangs out in college for 2 years, because by that time i think the LA pick is unprotected.
I know I post this all the time, but its the truth. No team would ever trade the #1 07 pick. Why would they? Why would any team give the best big man prospect since Duncan? You dont trade picks like that.
