It's cool RR. We can agree to disagree.
But I see your point. You are saying that Duke players have a better chance of failing than succeeding in the NBA. You may actually be right if more players from Duke faltered than succeeded. Someone would have to do a study on that though. I thought you were saying ALL players out of Duke are busts.

Thanks. A good study would compare the program to a similiar D-1 program. Actually, I was doing some research today, and alot of Duke's draft picks were second round selections.

Here's the guys profile: nbadraft.net/profiles/sheldenwilliams.aspHe just had a monster game the other night (27 pts, 13 brds, 3 blocks, I think) He would fit in great with a rotation of Perk, Big Al, Raef, and Gomes though it would be a bit crowded. Raef may get traded in the offseason though.

Great profile. However, I am wondering if this a player Danny wouldn't draft, because he doesn't fit the "run-athletic" type he is looking for?

True, but maybe that is what we need, some more guys who are not necessarily so athletic, but who are bruisers and can help Perk off of the bench and add toughness, rebounding, and defense. I think he could be a good fit, getting 15 min/gm off the bench.

I am thinking w/ year's draft, regardless of where we are slotted, perhaps our objective should be finding a complimentary player for one of our starters. In past years, Danny has found 'starters' in the first round, and 'back-ups' in the second round. W/ the exception of a few players, this looks like a draft to find a quality back-up.

I totally agree. I really think our starters are pretty much set. Now it is just time to let the guys grow, progress together and develop a good chemistry.
But our bench needs increased depth. I really think this is what Ainge will try to strengthen during the offseason. Right now, we could use a sparkplug scorer off the bench. (Like Ricky last year) Gerald Green maybe? Next year may be too early for him to put up those type of numbers, but that is the role I see him in in 08'.
Gomes, and hopefully a healthy T Allen combined with a more experienced Orien Greene, and possibly Raef/Big Al coming off the bench, add in a 4-year college player, we should be set with a decent bench next season.
