I think that's the first time they ever showed a highlight of the #2 pick being blocked. Oh boy Dickie V

Utah takes Deron Williams, I thought they would take Paul! I loved the long pause by the Commish.

Utah takes Deron Williams, instead of Chris Paul.
Count me in as a person who does not think Deron Williams will be a better PG than Paul. His athleticism is not outstanding, and it'll only get worse (as in lost foot speed and agility) as he gets older. His body is so bulky that he'll find his jumping ability decrease rather quickly.
I think its a mistake for Utah to stake so much on getting Deron. They've given up 3 first round picks (2 this year, 1 next year) to get Deron Williams. Mistake.

Yeah, and we enjoy your company, E.
The 4th pick is coming up, with New Orleans set to pick their selection. I'm thinking its going to be Chris Paul. After losing Baron Davis, they have no PG to lead their future team. They might go with either Gerald Green or Martel Webster, but I don't think they'll do that. I'm sure they'll go with Paul.

The hornets take CP3. I think Chris Paul is gonna be a great PG in the NBA. He's the second coming of Isaih(sp?) Thomas.

Yep, they take Chris Paul with the 4th pick. Good selection for them. Now they have a good PG to go along with Jr Smith. They still got a lot more to go in terms of getting athletic talent, but they did the right thing by going after a cornerstone PG to build their team around. Utah made a mistake by passing up on Paul. I like his game and wish Ainge could have swung a deal to grab him.
The 5th pick belongs to Charlotte and I think they'll go with their hometown PG, Raymond Felton. It'll be the 3rd PG taken in a row.

The Bobcats take Raymond Felton with the 5th pick.
Its a bitter sweet moment for me. I really love this kid's passing ability and I have been all over him the past 2 years. I really would have liked to see him in a Celtics green uniform because his passing ability and floor general leadership would have gotten us running on high octane.
Good pick for the Bobcats. With Emeka Okafor at the 4 and Felton at the 1, they have a solid twosome to build on.
Good luck with your career, Felton. I'll be cheering for you (except when you play us).

Next up is Portland with the 6th pick. I have them taking Gerald Green. They could surprise me by going with Martel Webster or Antoine Wright. But I think they made the trade with Utah with the intention of taking Green. They've been rumored to take him for awhile now. I don't see them backing out now.
