This thread will be used for pick by pick analysis and our comments on the picks.
First selection is Milwaukee's.
Up next is Atlanta.

I seriously doubt people are watching in 200 countries as David Stern says. maybe Americans in embassies with awesome satellite TV. Unless he counts Iowa a country. Right C17?

Here comes David Stern to announce the opening of the 2005 draft. Says his usual stuff (with the rowdy fans in the background egging him on), blah, blah, blah, and Milwaukee has 5 minutes to pick.
I think there's no question that they take Andrew Bogut. Marvin Williams has a chance to end up with a higher ceiling, but Bogut is no slouch. He deserves to be taken #1.
Grabbing Bogut is a good step toward resigning Michael Redd. Getting a legit big man should help them take a step toward the right direction.
Here's the Commish.
Milwaukee takes.............Bogut!!

And with the first pick of the 2005 NBA draft, the Milwaukee Bucks select.... Andrew Bogut. No surprise.

I am so happy for the university of Utah to have th e#1 pick in the NFL and NBA. I don't think any school ever did that. Notre Dame? UCLA?

Very good pick. Bogut is truly a good one. Might not turn out to have an Olajuwon type career, but he is a very solid Center to build your team around. I feel that once he develops his game, he can produce 18 ppg and 10 rpg yearly. He's quick enough to get around stronger Centers and fundamental enough to take advantage of average Centers.
Next up is Atlanta. Most likely they'll take Marvin Williams, but they could throw a huge changeup if they take Paul or Deron Williams.
Utah moved up in the draft to grab Deron Williams or Chris Paul, but if Marvin Williams is there, I dont think they can pass up on him. So if they take Marvin, New Orleans, who was set to take either Deron Williams or Chris Paul has a chance to take either one, instead of being forced to take one or the other.

Bogut won't be no Shaq, but he will be a very servicable center in the NBA.

Leave it to the hawks to choose an unproven player they don't need. They are the Knicks without the salary cap problems

Atlanta takes Marvin Williams, also a very good pick. He's gonna be something special.

I like Stephen A. Smith. Not a guy I would like to hang around, but I find him very enteraining. He's a guy I enjoy making contraversy.
The Hawks take Marvin Williams, which is the move they should make. Even though they've got 3 solid SF's, they can't make their decision based on their roster.
Now the question becomes who will the Hawks move now that they have 4 potentially solid wing players?
Next up is Utah, who acquired the 3rd pick from Portland. Most likely, they'll take Chris Paul, but they could go after Deron Williams.
