not a bad choice at all. the call of ktulu was great because it built up so much as the song progressed. for me, to live is to die is a better instrunmental piece than ktulu was. but to each his own.
i would have to say that my favorite metallica song (as of this moment) would have to be "bleeding me" from Load. that song has everything; good riffs, strong vocals, memorable arrangements, great solo and excellent spacing. i could listen to that all day.

I like their cover songs a lot like tuesdays gone, its electric, turn the page, last caress and a few more.
Right now, my favorite metallica songs are anything off ride the lightning. I think Kill em all was good but Ride the lightning was a little better.
In my order for metallica cds:
1, Kill Em All 2, Master of puppets 3, Garage Days revisited 4, Kill Em All 5, Black album 6, And Justice for all 7, Load 8, Reload
St Anger sucks so I wont even put that in any spot.

What, St, Anger? I downloaded some and it sounded low quality or it was recopies of their old songs in instrumentals I think. I didnt like the new st anger song either or whatever one WWE had advertized.

honestly, i think metallica was trying to copy the style of system of a down.
sounds very close to it, but its just not metallica.

Metallicas good is through the 80s only and the black album. They failed to sound anything like that in the 90s. At least punk bands and old metal bands who are real can keep the same sound.

nah, i love load and reload, and even the metallica symphony (i was once a trumpet player so its still in me). i just can't get used to St. Anger. its not really music.

i never got into rap, hip hop, or even r & b. just don't have that in me, i guess. the only rap i ever listened to was tupac and bone thugs. maybe a little p-diddy.
but none of that hardcore rap stuff.

Yea me too. In 94, I digged the thuggish ruggish bone cd and other rap like onyx but it got real old once I was 3/4ths on my way to being 16 yrs old. i know what ya mean... when u just dont like a music, u just dont like it... EXACTLY! I found a liking later in life to certain music from more bands that stemmed from a few things I liked when I was 12 like R.E.M, Morrissey or the cranberries. More on the softer side like Idlewild, Aimee Mann, Blake Babies, Juliana Hatfield, Fiona Apple and more... I also acquired a taste for John McDermott. (Oh danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling you) I got into more older blues when I got older too once again stemming from the few things I liked when I was little like Stevie Ray Vaughan and the Fabulous thunderbirds. yeah, i guess. though i sort of like country. not that much, but some. i guess anything with guitars in it, i'll listen to. For country/bluegrass, I like Alison Krauss and union station, Lila McCann, JoDee Messina, Neil McCoy, John Montgomery, Clint Black, Randy Travis, George strait and Brooks and Dunn.

no, because of your extensive knowledge of a ton of musical groups who aren't well known.
alright, which is your favorite U2 song?
for me, its a toss up between sunday bloody sunday, one and with or without you.
