This will be a challenge for Rondo to defend him. Rondo has come back and played well against PG's that gave him trouble in early matchups and I expect him to do the same in this matchup.  vs  Kevin Garnett PPG 18.8 RPG 9.70 APG 3.5 EFF + 25.19 Carlos Boozer PPG 21.3 RPG 10.60 APG 2.9 EFF + 25.06 Boozer leads the Jazz in points and rebounds and KG will need to concentrate on defending him along with making him work on the other end of the floor as well. KG has been playing very well lately and I expect him to be up to the task.
Honorable MentionPaul Pierce vs Andre Kirilenko. Last season, Pierce had Kirilenko in tears after he totally dominated the game. Pierce should be able to dominate this matchup. Keys to the GamePlay with energy and hustle. No let downs. Control the boards and limit second chance points for the Jazz Move the ball and find the open man. Defend the paint and the perimeter. Game NotesThe Jazz have the best home record in the NBA with only 3 losses and one of those losses is to the Celtics. They will be looking for some payback in this game. The Celtics have the second best home record with only 4 losses and the Jazz are not nearly as dominant on the road as they are at home with a 15-20 record. They are coming off a win in Milwaukee, however. The Jazz are 7-3 in their last 10 while the Celtics have won 10 in a row. The Celtics will have a tough matchup in this game and won't be able to rest as they have in the last few games. |

Celtics in their green St Pat's day uniforms and Jazz in white. Picking up with score 2-2 and 10:56 left in the first. Boozer gets an offensive rebound and puts it back. RA drives to the hoop and misses the layup but draws the foul. He hits both FTs. Boozer takes it to the hoop and Perk and KG bother the shot. RA comes away with the rebound. Rondo hits a jumper on the baseline. Perk called for a foul on Okur as he drives to the hoop. Okur hits both FTs. KG misses a fall away jumper and Perk is there for the rebound and put back. Okur hits a 3 on a feed from inside. KG misses a shot off the glass. Perk tips the rebound but Jazz come away with it. Jazz miss and Perk rebounds. Celtics miss and Jazz rebound. Jazz score on a layup. Celtics miss a jumper. Jazz rebound. Williams takes it to the hoop and misses a layup but is fouled by Rondo. He misses the first and hits the second FT. Time out with Jazz up 12-8 and 7:40 left in the first. Action moving pretty fast so far.

Rondo misses a jumper and Jazz rebound. Boozer goes strong to the hoop and lays it in. Perk backs down Okur and lays it in. Kirilenko misses a jumper and Boozer rebounds and lays it in. Travelling called on Pierce. Perk with a block on Boozer and Boozer gets it back and steps out of bounds and turns it over. Rondo drives and can't ffinish Jazz come away with it. Perk with a rebound and long outlet up court to KG who fumbles the pass but recovers and lays it in. Williams hits a baseline jumper. PP misses a step back jumper. Boozer rebounds. PP called for a foul. Time out with Jazz up 18-12 and 4:47 left in the first

Kirilenko misses the first and hits the second FT. KG is doubled and passes across court to Rondo who hits a jumper off the catch. Brewer misses a jumper but the rebound comes right to Okur and he puts it in. Celtics turn it over. Jazz turn it over on a bad pass inside from Williams. RA pulls up and hits a 3. Boozer hits a fall away in the paint. RA misses a 3 off the catch. Perk gets a hand on the rebound but it goes out to Boozer. KG with a block but they call him for a foul. Time out with Jazz up 23-17 and 2:46 left in the first

Williams hits both FTs. Powe gets inside for a tip in of a miss. Boozer with a pass to Harpring who cuts back door to the hoop and lays it in. Celtics turn it over on a bad pass out of bounds. Davis, Powe, Posey, RA and House on the floor. Brewer drives to the hoop and lays it in as the SC winds down. RA passes up a jumper and drives to the hoop and is fouled. He hits both FTs. Boozer passes inside to Harpring who misses a layup but Milsap is there for the tip in. House misses a 3 and Jazz rebound. Boozer beats Baby on the basline and is fouled by Powe as he spins to the hoop. He hits both FTs. RA brings the ball up and drives into the paint and draws a foul on Brewer as he ends up on the floor. He hits both FTs. Jazz looking for the final shot. Price shoots an airball at the buzzer and score at the end of one is Utah 33 and Boston 23.

Celtics inbound to start the 2nd. House hits a 3 off the catch. Okur loses it on the way up and it goes out off Utah but refs call Utah ball. They inbound with 6 on the SC. Price hits a leaner in the lane. Tony takes it hard to the hoop and is fouled. He was fouled twice before they finally called the foul. He misses both FTs. Powe grabs the rebound. Posey hits a 3 off the catch. Travelling called on Price as House plays good defense on him. House with a bullet pass between the defenders into Powe for a dunk. Price hits a 3 from the corner. Travelling called on Baby. Milsap travels but no call. Posey called for a foul. Refs are terrible so far. Harpring misses the first and hits the second. Violet is one of the refs and that may explain it somewhat. Tony loses the ball and Baby hustles after the loose ball and dives for it. They call a foul on Baby which is another bad call. Harpring gets inside and lays it in. Posey misses a jumper and Jazz rebounds. Korver is out of bounds when he catches the ball in the corner and Jazz turn it over. Time out with Jazz up 41-30 and 8:33 left in the half

Celtics inbound and House almost loses it but recovers. House finds Baby inside but he can't finish. Powe is there for the rebound and put back. Celtics stop the shot and it goes out off Baby. Williams gets to the hoop off the inbounds pass and lays it in. KG is fouled and goes to the line. He misses both FTs. Jazz rebound. Ray Allen is in the locker room with a jammed left ankle. Williams hits a jumper. PP misses a flip shot in the paint and Jazz rebound. KG deflect the shot and Celtics come away with it. house hits a pull up jumper. House called for a foul. Rondo comes in for House. Korver hits a 3 from the corner over two defenders. PP spins around Harpring and is called for an offensive foul. TERRIBLE CALL. Harpring pushes Pierce and PP gets called for the foul. Tony with a steal Rondo finds Tony inside for a dunk. Perk jabs at Boozer and Boozer misses a jumper. Rondo rebounds. KG misses a jumper and Jazz rebound. Williams gets a way with palming and time out is called with 5:00 left in the half and Jazz up 48-36

Jazz inbound on the baseline. Kirilenko misses a 3 and Tony rebounds. PP drives to the hoop behind a good pick by Perk and can't finish but is fouled. PP hits the firts but misses the second. Jazz rebound. Kirilenko called for a travel as PP plays good defense. PP drives into the paint and lays it down to Perk who lays it in and is fouled. Perk hits the FT. Celtics deflect the ball out of bounds. Utah inbounds with 21 on the SC. Williams hs it knocked away and recovers. Williams drives and PP is called for a blocking foul. Another terrible call. Pierce was outside the circle and set and Williams ran into him and they called the foul on Pierce. Williams hits both FTs. Posey comes in for PP. Tony drives to the hoop and lays it down to Perk whos is fouled as Kirilenko knocks the ball loose. Perk hits both FTs. Okur hits a 3 off the catch. KG misses a hook shot in the lane and Okur rebounds. Boozer lays it in and is fouled by Perk. Time out with Jazz up 55-42 and 2:40 left in the half

Boozer at the line completes the 3 point play. Rondo drives to the hoop and is called for an offensive foul. Korver misses but Boozer grabs the rebound. Tony gets a steal. Tony misses but Rondo is there for the rebound and put back. Tony got hit in the head hard and they don't call the foul. 3 second violation on the Jazz. Tony misses a 3 but gets his own miss and gets it out to Rondo who hits a floater on the baseline. Williams palming again with no call from the ref. Kirilenko gets the ball inside and lays it in. KG misses a turn around jumper and is fouled. KG hits the first and misses the second. Perk is called for a foul on the rebound. Perk goes to the bench with 3 fouls. Boozer pushed Perk first and they didn't call that but they called it on Perk. Celtics over the limit. Boozer hits both FTs. Rondo drives down the lane and has it deflected by the Jazz. he was fouled but no call. Rondo gets it in to KG at the top of the arc. Rondo pulls up and hits a jumper with the SC winding down. Jazz looking for the final shot. Williams drives and dips his shoulder into Rondo but Rondo is called for his 3rd foul. HORRIBLE OFFICIATING!!!! Williams hits both FTs. Rondo brings it up quickly and misses a shot at the buzzer. Score at the half is 62-49. The Celtics can't win this one as long as the refs are calling this so one sided.

Tony starts the third in place of RA. Tony misses a layup. Jazz rebound. KG with a block and Celtics come away with it. Tony drives and kicks out to PP who misses a 3. Okur misses and Celtics rebound. Tony loses the ball on a bad pass. Jazz miss and Celtics rebound. KG hits a turn round jumper. Williams misses and Celtics rebound. Tony gets the ball as he cuts down the lane and lays it in. Brewer lays it in. Boozer steals Pierce's pass. perk with ablock of Okur's shot and Boozer gets the ball. Boozer misses a jumper and Tony rebounds. KG backs in and spins into the paint and is fouled.
Ray Allen won't be back into the game.
KG misses the first and bounces his head off the ball and that gets a big cheer from the crowd. He misses the second but Rondo rebounds and hits a short jumper. Rondo with a steal and he hands off to Tony for a monster dunk. Perk with a block and KG grabs the loose ball. Rondo's floater no good. Boozer rebounds. Williams is blocked by KG. But KG is called for a foul. Williams hits both FTs. Williams is called for a foul on Rondo. Rondo did a good job of acting to draw that one. PP loses it out of bounds as he drives to the hoop. Jazz turn it over on a bad pass out of bounds. KG drives to the hoop and lays it in. Boozer got away with a push on KG. Defensive 3 second violation on the Celtics. Williams hits the T. Kirilenko hits a jumper at the SC. PP takes it to the hoop and is fouled. Time out with 5:56 left in the 3rd and Utah up 70-59

Okur misses a jumper but Kirilenko tips it in. kicked ball Celtics inbound with 14 on the SC. PP spins into the lane and misses a jumper but Perk is there for the rebound and put back. Kicked ball and Utah inbounds with 14 on the SC. Technical foul called on Jerry Sloan. I don't know what he had to complain about because his team is getting all the calls. PP hits the T. Utah inbounds with 14 on the SC. Boozer misses and Jazz called for a 24 second violation. KG takes it to the hoop and lays it in. Celtics within 4. Defensive 3 second violation on the Celtics. Williams hits the T. Jazz inbound with 14 on the SC. Boozer misses a jumper and Perk grabs the rebound. Rondo misses a fall away in the lane and Jazz rebound. Milsap hits a runner in the lane. KG turns on Boozer into the lane and puts it in. Milsap with a tough shot up through the defenders under the basket. Time out with Utah up 77-70 and 1:26 left in the 3rd

Posey misses a 3. Powe keeps it alive and tips it to Posey who dives for the loose ball and Boozer is called for his 4th foul. Posey hits both FTs. Milsap misses and PP strips the rebound and gets it to House. House misses a 3 from the corner and Jazz rebound. House gives the foul and Jazz inbound with 4.3 left in the 3rd. Tony comes infor PP. Price misses a runner in the lane at the buzzer. Score at the end of 3 is Jazz 79 and Celtics 74

Korver hits a jumper from the top of the key off the catch. PP misses a 3. Powe hustles to the rebound and is fouled. Powe at the line hits both FTs. Harpring gets the ball inside and lays it in. House pulls up and hits a 3. Kg with a steal. KG hits a jumper after good ball movement to find the open man. Jazz turn it over as they lose it out of bounds. Jazz get Boozer back in. Posey misses a 3 and Okur rebounds. Williams has hit knocked away by KG but he is called for a foul. Williams at the line hits both FTs. Posey to KG and back to Posey as he cuts to the hoop and is fouled. Posey hits both FTs and Celtics back to within 4. Davis on Okur and he is called for the foul as he bumps Okur on the way to the hoop. Okur hits both FTs. KG to Posey cutting to the hoop again and he lays it in. Posey knocks the ball away and Jazz will inbound with 7 on the SC. Williams misses a fall away and Posey rebounds. Celtics turn it over. Williams hits a runner in the lane. KG faces up on Okur and takes it into the lane and is fouled. Time out with Jazz up 93-87 and 5:25 left in the 4th
