sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3204305"Damon Stoudamire is close to reaching a buyout agreement with the Memphis Grizzlies that would allow the 34-year-old point guard to sign as a free agent with either the Boston Celtics or the Phoenix Suns, a source told ESPN.com on Saturday." Don't know how i feel about Stoudamire..Don't think he's much of an upgrade over what we already have in House/Tony/Pruitt...

yeah he's really not that good. But if we really think we need him.... i don't. I'd rather play house, ta and pruitt over stoudamire. Players like stoudamire shouldnt even be in the league imo. He's really about as useless and a space filler as there is.

He's just the same as Eddie House. I don't think Stoudemire is the one. I prefer Cassel over him.

He's really about as useless and a space filler as there is. and I've heard he's a bad locker room influence..but the only reason i believe Cassel is the only one out there that fits is because he's a more humble guy who won't whine over minutes and has played with both Garnet and Allen..But yeah, Danny should really really take his time..I still believe Pruitt can be pretty solid and TA when 100% might be more of helper at point than i can imagine..

Cassell can still play...... He's not an every night player, like he used to be but he can still put up numbers.

I wasn't referring to their rookie years though i didn't specify so that was my bad but Perk and Al in their second(perk's third year or so) year would come in and would get quick fouls..Plus their rotations were slow and they simply sometimes hurt the defense..Starting Big Baby over Perk would move KG to center and he doesn't like playing center and it wouldn't give Garnett the best match up on the offensive end..Though it doesn't really matter who starts so maybe you could start Big Baby and then insert Perk but i just think it's kind of unnecessary...Plus, it might benefit Glen but it might hurt Perk's confidence and all...I think Perk and Garnett have developed a good defensive chemistry while Big Baby has developed a nice offensive chemistry with pretty much everybody so he can be used in any lineup.. It's not a wrong idea, or even a bad idea because logically it works but i just think it's not worth it since you've spent all this time developing chemistry with a starting unit and bench to change it drastically..Big Baby is the inside scoring for the second unit..Perk isn't very strong on teh offensive side so inserting him in the second unit would thus make them even MORE focused on outside shots... But i get your thinking..Perk has trouble finishing when he gets sooo many open looks with the Big three so you'd think Baby would make those and thus help us..It could work, i just think it doesn't really add that much more positive, it evens out essentially I don't consider starting Davis a drastic change, and I wouldn't do it against a great team. Maybe I'd do it once in a while against weak teams, and I think Davis can play center fine if needs be especially with KG next to him.

Stoudamire hasn't been good in years, even when he's not hurt. I wouldn't want him unless someone was hurt. He's third string for Memphis behind a college sophomore and a guy who just got here from Europe and Kyle Lowry. That should tell us something about him. I'd rather have any of them instead. I'd rather have Chucky Atkins or Charlie Bell

My choice is still to trade Scal for Tyronne Lue. I agree that Stoudamire isn't the answer. If he was the 3rd guard on the Grizz, how much can he really give us? As for Cassell, I don't see them buying him out and we really don't have many trade chips left.

^Tyronne Lue isn't a bad idea either but i highly doubt the Hawks do a trade for Scal and Lue...Scal is pretty much worthless in trade value with his contract and skill so maybe we would have to sweeten the deal with picks or something..But i still think Danny should wait..I'd really rather get nothing than Damon...And yeah, Cassel's chances coming here are slim...

I like the idea of lue as well. But isnt he coming off surgery though? I thought he was sitting out because of surgery or something? I know scal isn't that great but he is a decent guy to come in and can do some decent things as an 11th or 12th big man. He doesnt mind sitting he bench and can heat up on occasion and plays hard.

and with all that things that you write for Scal, nobody wants him, or will give Lue for him

I don't know if you guys watch the Celtic's pregame and all that with Donny but it seems that everyone thinks Damon will fit perfectly on this team which i don't see..At most, he'll just bring up the ball past half-court and is signing a player to do that really worth it..The guy is an undersized point guard so he's pretty much a defensive liability and i don't see how he's even better than Pruitt(of course i overrated Pruitt but i still think he's a lot better)..
