RR, do you plan on using May as a backup PF, or do you think he will be the starter and Big Al the backup?
We are not quite there yet to be one player away from finalizing our puzzle. But we are getting closer to that situation.

May is much more polished than AJ, but AJ has a higher ceiling. Because of his intensity, and leadership, I would groom him as the starter, but against a smaller team, like in the east, I could see playing both of them at the same time, at the PF & C.

If May is there for the taking when our turns comes around to pick, I would not be surprised if Ainge takes him. He's an excellent scorer, which is a trait Ainge definitely likes. Plus, he's a good rebounder and fairly quick. Jefferson will move past him in a couple of years, but if May is on the team, I do see him being in the rotation, getting a good amount of minutes.

If we gave May and Jeff 30 and 25 (with 5-10 of these as small ball center) I think they could both progress. But this would entail moving one of Blount and Jeff if Perk can play and letting walker go.

He's not the type of player who will quietly play his role as a 20 minute role player. Doc is having a hard enough time right now trying to divie up the minutes now between Raef, Walker, Blount, Perkins, and Jefferson (and that's not even including Justin Reed). I think there's bound to be a shakeup this offseason to aleviate our glut at the bigs.

I have this feeling that Danny is going to draft a PF, like May or Simien, and explain to the fans that is why he is not resigning Walker.

Exactly roadrunner, its one or the other in this case. Walker plus Al J plus Raef and Blount plus May/Simien is not gonna work. Walker would have to be sent packing. Although if the team is lucky, it can be Raef can't it seeing hes more passive and Walker doesn't want to bounce around much more.

Alot of posters on this board complain about Blount, but Raef, this guy is more talented and slight less productive. It not only his contract, but the passive way he plays the game. Not that he doesn't care, but he is never fired up.

i actually think raef is playing well, he's just not a banger down low. the only bad thing about him is his contract but as a player i like him gazillion times more than blount and everything that comes with him

His contract is pretty bad. I just want a banger in the post, like Perks.

Not that he doesn't care, but he is never fired up. I understand what you are talking about. Raef's demeanor isn't the fist pumping type and if you gauge his desire strictly by his game face, you'd think he could care less about winning the game. But you can tell by the way he goes after rebounds that he is doing what he can to help this team win. I think his legs are hurting more than we know and this prevents him from being a more active player. Right now, his knees seem to allow him only to rebound and set up for three pointers and not really anything else. But he's still a gamer and will try to do what he can.

Well, he isn't the worst guy to have. Try Adonal Foyle.

Someone on espn had a list of the most overpaid players. Ironically, the Knicks had 2 of the top 10 and use to 2 others who play for different clubs now.
