Oh yeah!! Well, I ran the 40 in 4.3!!! I had 2 out of the 4 correct. I should have gone with my gut instincts on the WV game. But I went with the safer pick and chose TTech. I don't really like them, but I'm thinking sooner or later, West Virginia's luck is going to run out. The other pick I lost out on is the Arizona/OSU game. I thought for sure OSU could have pulled it out. They nearly did too. But that pesky Salim Stoudemire (whom I don't care for) had to come up with that shot at the end RR, if Josh Boone played like how he was in the beginning of the year, UCONN would be heading to the Elite Eight. Plus, Calhoun didn't play Hilton Armstrong as much in that loss. Armstrong gives the Huskies a spark off the bench and I think they could have used it.

Celtic17 - sounds like you are a "hare". 2:01 is very solid for the 800.
Myself, I am a pure "tortoise". My races start at 10k.
Derren - I am speculating Boone was playing hurt the second half of the season. His performance dropped off significantly. Also, Rudy Gay (and I am aware no one will agree w/ me) was all-over the place this season and never took 1 shot w/ in the offense. Every shot was forced. Ironically, if Charlie V makes a few more free throws against Syracuse (he was 2-8), and covers Hodge vs. NC ST, they win both huge games.

No, I agree with you. Rudy Gay doesn't look good in the structered offense yet. The times he shines are when plays are broken and on fast breaks. His jumper is way too shaky and he doesn't know how to get it off yet.
He has a bright future ahead of him with his size and athletic ability. But he sure does need a lot of work. Moreso than Marvin Williams.

Whoa!! Duke goes down in a surprise upset. I didn't think they'd lose to Michigan State (keep an eye out for Alan Anderson). Wow, didn't see this one coming.

Louisville comes through with a clutch win vs. a streaking West Virginia team. I knew it was going to end at some point, but what a season its been for WV. Never expected it. And they almost had the game won too.
Lot of good showings from wing players in the tournament. Taquan Dean (UL), Luther Head (ILL), Hassan Adams (ARI), Dee Brown (ILL), Fransisco Garcia (UL), etc. One of these guys could end up on our team.
Juan Palacios has really developed since the beginning of the year. This is a guy to keep an eye out for. Kind of like PJ Brown and Popeye Jones with his all out hustle points. Just a freshmen, but he can already rebound pretty well, play tough inside, and even dribble the ball a bit. Not a star in the making, but he could turn out to be an excellent bench player for whichever team drafts him in the future.
Arizona giving Illinois a hard time right now, but I think ILL will pull it out. Score is 64 - 58 with 7:13 left in the game.

WOw, ILL down by 7 with 1:23 left in the game. Could this be the end for the Fighting Illini?
Nope, I feel strongly that they will pull it out.

YYYYYEYAAAHAAHHAAHAHAHAHHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ILLINOIS IS GOING TO THE FINAL FOUR!!!!!!!!!!!
What a terrific game all around. What a comeback. What a finish. What a season it has been for Bruce Weber and his Illini team.
Hassan Adams could not convert the final shot. I wish he would have taken the ball inside instead of settling for a long jump shot. But heck, he had a heck of a game. I really like him and I think he'll make a solid bench player in the NBA.

Tom Izzo from Mich St is very under rated as a coach. I am pretty sure he doesn't have 12 McD's All-Americans like Duke,orUNC, but always gets the most out of his team.

I mean, Paul Davis is his centerpiece, and he's not even projected to be picked in the first round. I like Alan Anderson, as he reminds me quite a bit of Ricky Davis.

So we are now down to 6 teams. Illinois and Louisville are headed to the Final Four, after both teams eliminated their opponents in overtime thrillers (my heart still is worked up after watching both games).
UNC takes on Wisconsin tomorrow and the winner heads to the Final Four. And the same outcome for the winner of the Kentucky/Michigan State game.
I think UNC and Kentucky will win their matchups tomorrow.
So the Final Four will be Illinois vs. Louisville
and
UNC vs. Kentucky
My prediction is that the NCAA championship will be Illinois vs Kentucky. I like UNC because of Raymond Felton, but Kentucky is a really deep team and they have some guys on that team who I like as well (Rajon Rondo, Roby Ross, Alene).
I will stick with the prediction I made a month ago and say that this is Illinois' year. They will be the NCAA champs.

Derren, guess that is why they play the games, in regards to Kentucky winning over Michigan St. Then again, I was completely awful this NCAA pool w/UCONN sinking my bracket. On a bright note, had Illinois in the Final, and Lousiville in the Final 4.
