I agree Loy. We were shorthanded tonight but we still could have used Powe.

Ray shoots an airball with 1 on the SC. REbound goes out of bounds. Nets call time out with 1:16 on the SC and Celtics up 105-97.... Fatigue is probably a factor in the Celtics allowing the Nets back into it. Defense has slacked off and their shots aren't falling. Doc should have Perk in there to stop these layups and dunks.

Nets inbound on the side. Kidd misses a layup. Williams misses the put back. KG gets the rebound. Nets foul to stop the clock with 53.1 left in the 4th. PP hits both FTs. Celtics pressing in the back court. Foul called on House. Celtics are over the limit and Kidd goes to the line. 47 seconds left and Kidd hits both FTs. 107-99

If this team has an achilles it's when we go small . That is what Scal, Powe and BAby are for, but once Davis fouled out thats when the wheels started to come off defensively.

Kidd fouls KG in the back court to put him on the line with 42 seconds left. KG hits both FTs. Nets get it quickly up court. Jefferson is fouled by Rondo. Jefferson hits both. Pass up court and Rondo gest it and lays it in. Nets miss a 3 and Celtics rebound. Nets foul RA so that Armstrong can get off the floor as he limps off after diving into the stands. RA hits both FTs. Jefferson misses a 3 and KG grabs the rebound. Final score is Celtics 112 and Nets 101

The other thing we really lost sight of was our unselfishness. Right after I posted we had 24 assists, we did not get but 1 more assist for the rest of the game!! We settled for 3's and refused to move the ball around. This game woulda been our fault if we lost, NJ took advantage of our sloppy play down the stretch.

5-0, against a solid opponent in the East.

Good rebounding edge. Davis had 6 offensive boards. Maybe he will be Paul Silas cloned.

Big Baby was impressive tonight but I still don't understand why Doc doesn't play Powe in spite of making a comment after the last game that he was going to play him and all his praise in the preseason about how great Powe was playing and that he would be in the rotation. I just don't see Powe slacking off in practice. I mean he was playing so hard he bloodied Davis's nose. I just don't understand it.
I also don't understand why Perk came out with 4 fouls and never came back in. We really could have used him when the Nets were waltzing down the lane and cutting the lead to 8. He only played 19 minutes.
I worry about the big minutes our 3 stars are playing. It is great being 5 and 0 and winning these games, but not at the expense of wearing them out before the break. RA played 48 minutes for crying out loud. And the other two over 40. That is way too many and will either lead to an injury because they are fatigued or will wear them out to the point where they won't have much left for the playoffs.

Yeah the "doc factor" was a little annoying last night. I understand why we went smaller to matchup because NJ was going small, but when Baby fouled out we should have gone to powe. Going to House was overkill. We started launching 3's, our defense was really poor. Gettting Posey back will also be a plus and allow us to rest Allen, Pierce and Garnett more.

Sure missed Posey in a number of ways.

Doc is at his best when he says "player xyz is going to have an all-star season", then the player is sitting right next to him on the bench.
