Power Forward
vs

Center

Off the Bench
Davis/House/Allen/Pollard/Powe/Scalabrine
Notes:
James Posey is suspended for this game. I expect Pruitt and Wallace to be on the inactive list.
KG, Pierce and Ray Allen played with such passion in the preseason that you wonder what more they can do in the regular season. I expect them to come out with purpose and take over this game from the start. Gilbert Arenas has made several comments about how the Celtics are going to lose their home opener and how this team is over hyped and I don't think those comments will be lost on our three big veterans.
Off the Bench
Blatche/Daniels/McGuire/Percherov/Blatche/Songaila
Notes: Gilbert Arenas has had it in for Boston ever since they promised to take him in the first round of the draft and didn't do so and he slipped to the second round. He has been predicting a Celtics loss in their home opener and I am sure he is going to do all he can to make it happen. I am also sure that his comments have fired up the Celtics as well. It is interesting to see that Haywood is back as their starting center since just after last season the word was that his nameplate was removed from his locker and he was on the way out.
Key Matchup:
vs
Rajon Rondo vs Gilbert Arenas
Rondo is starting the season with a very tough matchup. Arenas wants to win this game and is going to take it to Rondo at every opportunity. Rondo's defense is going to be as important in this game as will be his ability to run the team.
to the Game:
1. Control the tempo of the game - energy and hustle
2. Defense, Defense, Defense
3. Controt the boards
4. Ubuntu - All for one. Move the ball and find the open man. Play unselfishly and play as a team.
