KG hits a jumper long jumper. Perk is back in for Scal. Jaric is fouled and goes to the line. He hits both FTs. Rondo brings the ball up against some pressure in the back court. Rondo hits a 3 from outside. Funny cause the announcers were saying Ray Allen knocks down a 3 with that sweet smooth shot... Excuse me.... that was Rondo!!! Time out with Boston up 44-41 and 3:03 left in the 2nd

Celtics inbound. KG gets the ball in the paint and hits Perk with a touch pass inside for dunk. Celtics with a steal and Ray misses a jumper. Wolves rebound. Jaric is fouled and at the line. Front rims the first Hits the second. Perk gets the ball inside and finishes at the rim. Celtics with a steal and Ray gets the ball upcourt and takes it in for a 2 handed slam. KG called for a foul and Gomes at the line hits the first and misses the second. Celtics rebound. PP misses a jumper and rebound goes out of bounds to Wolves. Mccants misses and PP is fouled in the back court with 26 seconds left in the half. PP goes to the line. PP misses both FTs. Wolves rebound. Jaric misses and PP rebounds but doesn't get a shot off as the buzzer sounds. Score at the half is Boston 50 Minnesota 43.

Thoughts at the half:
-Cohesion isn't there yet. It did get better late in the 2nd quarter, but overall, the starting unit doesn't seem to be smooth--yet. I know it'll take some time for this to happen. Right now, Pierce doesn't know where his offense is going to come from, Garnett doesn't know where his offense is going to come from. Seems like RAllen knows his scoring role, and he's well suited for it.
Is it just me, or does Al Jefferson seem like a sad little puppy that wants so badly to come back home? In his interview with Dickerson the other day, it seemed to pain him that he isn't a Celtic anymore. And his play shows that too. Seems like he's sad, and just waiting for Doc to give him his #7 jersey back. Looks like he's holding back.
Tony moves around the court and cuts to the basket pretty good. I can't see much of a difference in the way he cuts to the basket. He's got to finish better after contact.
Perk is going to score 6 - 8 pts easily, just from Garnett creating for him. Perk's free throw shooting has improved big time. He's yet to miss this preseason.
Batista looks alright--and I can see better things coming from him. He's a willing player, meaning he's not playing scared or afraid. He gets in there and tangles, and his physical expression out there tells you that he knows how to play basketball. He may get confused when running Doc's plays because he may not be used to it, but if he's playing on the playgrounds or in europe, you'll know that he knows the game of basketball. He moves really well for a man his size (though he's not as bulky as I thought he'd be).

Gomes hits the FTs. Ray with a nice feed inside to Perk who is fouled by Ratliff to avoid the layup. Perh hits both FTs. Rondo again pressing in the back court. Wolves miss and Perk rebounds. Perk drives down the lane and kicks out to Garnett who hits a jumper. Ricky hits a jumper over Ray. PP misses a jumper and Wolves quickly pass the ball up court for an easy layup for Gomes. Ray Allen hits a jumper. Perk with a steal inside and gets it ahead to RA who takes it to the hoop for a layup. Ricky misses and Ratliff rebounds. KG with a block out of bounds. Wolves inbound. Perk called for a foul. Wolves inbound on the side. Ricky loses it and Pierce dives for the lose ball but Ricky comes up with it and is called for a travel. Rondo takes it to the hoop and hits a scoop shot. Perk with a steal. Ratliff called for a goal tend on RA's shot. Time out with Celtics up 63-48. 8:03 left in the third.

I agree about Big Al. I know he hated to leave. He loved being a Celtic. I wonder what would happen if he doesn't sign the extension in Minny and becomes a free agent. I feel bad for the kid because I know he really really didn't want to leave Boston. I'd love to get him back.

Celtics inbound on the side. RA can't handle pass from Rondo and Celtics turn it over. Ricky misses and rebound goes out of bounds. KG misses a long jumper and Perk rebounds.
