Seattle is said to be listening for offers for the #2 pick. I'd be interested in jumping in on this. It'll most likely be Kevin Durant, but there's a slight chance that Portland takes Durant, and we'd have a shot at Oden. Either way, it'll be a great pick.
We'd have to give up Pierce and our 5th pick, maybe a bit more, but I'd do it.

Any trade involving the #2 pick would have to involve Al.

Jefferson stays. Pierce, I am tempted to make the deal for the #2.

Any trade involving the #2 pick would have to involve Al. No, I'd think Pierce, the #5. plus solid role players could do the trick. Of course, we'd have to take back more than just the #2 pick (like maybe a player with a good sized contract).

It is virtually impossible for the C's to make a trade for the #2 pick (that the sonics would actually consider) without including jefferson. And I would definately consider packaging both of them in a deal for the #2. We saw on Thursday night's Detroit/Cleveland game what wins in the NBA: transcendent players. I know that both Pierce and Jefferson are great, but neither of them will be game changing players. Durant has a chance to be that.

No, I have to agree with Derren on this. Imagine being a Sonics fan and you wake up in the morning and hear something like "Hey, we resigned Rashard Lewis, then we traded a 230 pound college kid who never did anything in the league for an all-star, that Noah guy you saw win two championships, and Delonte West to back up Ridnour. Have you ever wanted to see PP play with Ray Allen? Now you can? Ray, PP, Rashad, a real live center finally, and Ridnour. Sweet lineup. We also dumped a former bust and a bad contract."
I would think a lot of those Sonics fans would be pretty happy.

Here's what I got so far:
"Durant and Oden are once in a lifetime guys that come along and if any team needs one, it is us right now"
"Talent wise it is probably a fair deal but there is no way that Seattle is trading this pick to anyone at just about any cost".
"Too much at stake to pass up on a talent like Durant."
"we are giving a young superstar and expect one in return. Deal would have to be exceptional for it to get done and as good as pierce is he hasnt got 12 yrs ahead of him like durant or oden does"

I admit if I were Boston with Durant I wouldn't want to trade him to Seattle for Ray Allen and he #5. If I were Seattle I'd only do it if things like Al J and Delonte were involved. Undeniable young talent wih high upside

I'm of the conclusion it will take Jefferson and the #5 for the #2 pick - trade Pierce for Ray Allen. We give up Perkins and take back Collison and Swift. It will be one of the biggest trades these two teams have ever done.

That would almost sounds like the deal that NJ pulled off years ago, when they traded almost their entire team w/ another club.

Would you trade the #2 pick for Ray Allen, Luke Ridnour, Chris Wilcox, and the #5 pick? . A good young pg, an all-star, and two good young big men for a guy that has never dribbled a ball in the league? Especially if I could send back some bad salary like Bassy and Wally? Yes I would strongly consider that trade. Of course we already have Rondo, but the more talent the merrier. It would make our team especially deep. If people think Durant is the next Lebron they are kidding themselves. And as awesome as I think he is I don't know how wise it is to think he's the next Carmelo or D Wade and neither of those guys are leading their teams anywhere (without Shaq)

No GM would trade a potential franchise changing player for that group of guys.

Wait a second. The only superstars that have won championships in more than a decade are Shaq, Duncan, and MJ. That's it. Two are big men. One had Dennis Rodman.
Here are all the superstars who haven't won championships
Dirk Nash Amare Marion D Wade (piggy backing doesn't count) Kobe (see D Wade) KG Iverson Kidd Vince Arenas TMac
Other than that the only other championship was the Pistons with no superstars.
Even when you put two or three of these guys together they don't necessarily win a championship.
