Al Jefferson wins this year's 6th Star award. Starters on the floor to begin the second half. Pistons inbound Rondo with a steal and he is fouled. Celtics inbound in the back court. Ray hits a jumper. Pistons miss and perk rebounds. Al called for a travel as he makes a move to the basket. The replay showed it wasn't a travel but just one of those "Al moves". Ray called for a foul. Pistons inbound. Johnson hits a short jumper. Perk with a nice pass inside to a cutting Rondo who lays it in and is fouled. Rondo hits the FT. Rondo with another steal. Celtics tun it over. Murray gets to the hoop for a layup. Gomes misses inside and Perk rebounds just as the SC goes off. Pistons miss and Al rebounds. Perk called for a foul setting a screen. Davis misses but Johnson comes in for a dunk of the miss. Al misses a hook shot and Davis rebounds. Murray is blocked by Al. Al misses inside and Pistons rebound and get an easy 2 on the other end. Ray misses a jumper and Pistons rebound. Davis misses and Celtics rebound. Gomes misses a jumper and Pistons rebound. Delfino fouled by Rondo as he goes baseline. He hits both FTs. Delfino knocks the ball away from Rondo. Celtics inbound iwth 20 on the SC. Ray misses a 3 and Delfino rebounds. Johnson called for an offensive foul as Ray draws the charge. Gomes hits a short jumper in the lane. Johnson gets to the hoop for a layup. Celtics turn it over. 3 second violation on the Pistons. gomes misses and Johnson rebounds. Pistons miss and Perk rebounds. Ray hits a 3 off the catch. Pistons turn it over. Time out with 4:58 left in the 3rd and Celtics up 59-57

Pistons with a steal and a fast break dunk Ray misses and Pistons rebound. Delfino takes it strong to the basket and lays it in. Ray misses a jumper and Pistons rebound. Pistons turn it over. Al loses the ball out of bounds. travelling called on Detroit. Ray takes it to the hoop and misses a layup. Pistons rebound and get a layup on the other end. Time out with Pistions up 63-59 and 2:40 left in the third

Celtics inbound and Rondo brings it up. Al steps through the double and hits a layup. Johnson misses a jumper and Rondo rebounds. Celtics miss and Pistons rebound. Delvino misses and Al rebounds. Gomes lays it in . Pistons hit a jumper. Gomes hits a jumper in the lane. Rondo with a steal and he takes it all the way in for a layup. Johnson gets ahead quickly for a dunk. Al misses a jumper at the buzzer. Score at the end of 3 is Pistons 69 and Celtics 67

Gomes - Not too sure - improved athleticism

Q's last report at the turn - Sloppy 3rd qtr - I hope the Celtics can pick it up and go out on a winning note. Perhaps Bassy will pull it out and save his job.

Celtics inbound to start the 4th. Telfair, Rondo, Green, Powe and Al on the floor. Rondo to Al and Al hands off to Rondo as he cuts to the hoop for a layup. Delfino misses and Celtics rebound. Rondo takes it in for a layup. Time out with Celtics up 71 -69 and 11:09 left in the 4th. Delfino was slow to get up and the trainer is checking him out.

I remember the two missing players - Delonte West - I don't know how much he can improve - the guy plays with more heart than anyone. And I'll have FL talk about the 15th player when she has a minute.

Hunter hits a jumper. Green misses a jumepr and Pistons rebound. Maxiel called for an offensive foul as Powe gets good position. Telfair misses a jumper and Detroit rebounds. Pistons miss and Powe skies for a rebound. Green misses a jumper and Al gets the rebound and is fouled as he goes up for the put back. He misses the first and hits the second. Pistons miss and Al rebounds. Telfair gets ahead of the crowd for a layup. Time out with 9:05 left in the season.. and Celtics up 74-71

You forgot my man Leon POWE!!! West needs to continue to work on going right and using his right hand. Powe just needs to work on his all around game and learning the system.

Maxiel hits a jumper from the top of the key. Telfair misses a jumper and Pistions rebound. Al with a block but is called for a foul as Maxiel goes to the hoop. He misses the first and hits the second. Al hands off to Gomes on the cut to the basket and he lays it in and draws the foul. Gomes hits the FT. Pistons miss and Green rebounds. Green with a bad pass but Rondo bails him out by knocking it out off Detroit. Celtics miss and Pistons rebound. Hunter fouled and hits 1 of 2. Telfair with a bad pass and Murray takes it in for a dunk. Green takes it to the hoop and misses a layup but tips in his own miss. Pistons miss and get the rebound. Hunter misses and Johnson tracks down the long rebound. Pistons miss and Rondo rebounds. He races down the court and lays it down to Al who is the trailer for a layup and a foul. Time out with 5:27 left in the season and Celtics up 81-78

Al's FT rims in and out. Pistons rebound. Pistons miss at the SC and Celtics rebound. Al misses a layup and Pistons come away with it. Pistons miss and hustle for the rebound. Johnson hits a jumper. Celtics up 81-80 and 4:21 left in the season. It seems as though the Celtics aren't hustling as much as the Pistons are now as they are getting beat to the rebounds and loose balls.

Doc is all upset with the defense on that last play. Realistically, Danny dealt Doc a bum hand this year and the basketball gods finished the job. Tommy H will set the record straight in Secaucus May 22.
