Someone needs to guard him and keep him from getting going. Notes: What is there about guys with the name Miller and weird hair? The Sixers are 5 and 5 in their last 10 games and are coming off a loss. Last Meeting 12/22/06. Celtics started Telfair, Allen, Green, Gomes, and Jefferson. Sixers started Ollie, Green, Iguodala, Henderson, and Dalembert. Sixers won 98-83. Al had 20 points and 14 rebounds. Gerald had 20 points 9 rebounds. Key Match ups vs Perk has been playing great recently and his defense inside is going to be key once again. vs Pierce may or may not play. If he does, he will have all he can handle playing against Iguodala. Keys to the GameHustle and Intensity We need to keep our intensity and focus for the whole game and not just one or two quarters. Rebound When we crash the boards we give ourselves second chance points and keep the other team one and done. Defense We have to get stops and disrupt the flow of their game. We won't outscore them and need to stop them from scoring. Perk has been setting the tone on defense and it has picked up the rest of the team's defense. We need to keep this up. Share the ball When we share the ball and find the open man, we play very well. But when players try to take over the game themselves and try to do too much we have problems and usually lose. |

It would be nice to see us NOT lose 60. Even better if it came againt the 6ers.

Pierce is out tonight but they aren't ruling out his playing in other games this season, possibly even Sunday against the Cavs.
I am assuming that Green or Gomes will start in his place but they haven't announced that yet. With Doc you never know. He may start Ray at SF.

Getting the Celtics feed tonight. This makes up for the Orlando feed I had to suffer through the other night... Well, not quite because I would love to have heard Tommy through that double OT game.
Gerald will get the start and we will have 9 players in uniform... Perk is the oldest player on the team. Is that scary or what?
Starters are Perk, Al, Gerald (the other team has a Green and so will use GG for Gerald and Green for Philly's Green) West and Rondo

Sixers win the tip. Carney quickly hits a short jumper. Perk misses a jumper. Al keeps it alive but Dalembert grabs the rebound. Dalembert hits a jumper. West hits jumper just inside the arc. Miller misses and Al rebounds. Al misses a jumper and Sixers rebound. Carney fumbles the pass in the lane and it goes out off Boston. Sixers inbound with 13 on the SC. Sixers miss and Al rebounds. West drives into the lane and misses a layup but GG gets the rebound and dunks it. Rondo called for a foul. Rondo gets a steal. He slips on the floor and Iguodala comes up with the loose ball and takes it in for a layup and draws the foul on Al. He misses the FT and Al rebounds. Defensive 3 second violation. West misses the T and Celtics inbound on the side. Al hits a jumper. Play has stopped because of a shot clock issue. Philly inbounds with 6 on the SC. Sixers miss and Perk rebounds. Celtics miss and Sixers rebound. Iguodala takes it to the hoop and draws the foul. He hits both FTs. West called for an offensive foul as he drives into the paint. Rondo with some pressure in the back court. Sixers miss and Al rebounds. West called for a travel. Carney misses and Dalembert rebounds and Sixers turn it over. West misses a 3 and Green comes flying in for a dunk of the miss. Iguodala draws a foul on Green. Gomes comes in for Green. Iguodala hits both FTs. Dalembert called for a goal tend on Perk's hook shot. Sixers hit a jumper. Perk hits a hook shot in the lane. Igoudala misses deep and Perk tracks down the rebound. west lays it down to al who misses a short jumper. Sixers rebound. Dalembert with a dunk. Gomes misses and Hunter gets the rebound. He hits the first and powe comes in for Perk. He hits the second FT. West drives baseline and kicks it out to Gomes who hits a jumper. Iguodala misses a jumper and Smith rebounds. Williams hits a jumper. Gomes misses a jumper and Dalembert gets the rebound. Williams hits a 3 from the corner at the buzzer. Score at the end of 1 is Philly 25 and Boston 20

Sixers hit a jumper. Powe drives into the lane and draws the foul as he lays it in. He misses the FT. Sixers rebound. Ray called for a foul. Sixers inbound with 14 on the SC. Korver is doubles and finds Smith who misses a jumper and Gomes rebounds. West misses a 3 and Williams rebounds. Williams misses a jumper and Powe grabs the rebound. Telfair misses a layup and Hunter rebounds. Korver hits a 3 from the right wing. Time out with Philly up 30-24 and 9:33 left in the half

Ray misses a jumper and Sixers rebound. Hunter misses a layup and Rondo rebounds and gets it to a cutting Ray. he misses a layup but is fouled. Ray hits both FTs. Celtics pressing in the back court but they pass quickly ahead and Iguodala gets to the hoop for a dunk. Telfair misses a long 3 at the SC. Sixers rebound and Iguodala gets inside for a dunk. Celtics miss a jumper and Sixers rebound. Powe called for a foul. Green and Al come in for Powe and Ray. Sixers inbound. Iguodala called for a travel as he makes his move inside. Gomes has it stolen by Korver and Iguodala gets the ball in the paint for a dunk. Green called for a travel. Perk comes in for Gomes and starters are back on the floor. Sixers inbound on the side. Sixers miss a layup and perk tips the rebound out to Al. Green misses a leaner on the baseline. Sixers rebound. Defensive 3 second violation on the Celtics. Korver hits the T. Sixers inbound with 14 on the SC. Iguodala missea a jumper and Rondo rebounds. GG misses off the catch. Sixers rebound. Green called for a foul. Ray comes in for Green. Sixers inbound. Al steals it from Kover. Rondo throws it away on a bad pass. Korver hits a jumper. Korver gets a piece of Ray's shot and Sixers come away with it. Time out with Sixers up 42-28 and 2:37 left in the half. How can they be so tentative and let the Sixers walk all over them? PP can't make THAT much of a difference, can he?

Miller at the line and hits both FTs. Sixers knock the ball away from West and Celtics inbound with 4 on the SC. Telfair misses a 3 at the SC. Sixers rebound and then throw it away. West steps out of bounds as he drives baseline. Rondo moves out of the way and Carney falls down and Rondo is called for a foul even though he didn't commit it. Carney misses both FTs and Al rebounds the miss. Gomes comes in for Rondo. illegal defense called on Philly. West hits the T. Celtics inbound with 14 on the SC. And they turn it over on the inbounds pass. West steals the ball. Al gets the ball inside and is fouled. He hits both FTs. Celtics with some pressure in the back court but Sixers easily passes out of it. West with a steal and he misses a pull up jumper in the lane. Rebound goes out of bounds off Celtics. Dalembert misses a jumper and Perk rebounds. Celtics going for the final shot of the half. West misses a 3 at the buzzer. Score at the half is Philadelphia 44 and Boston 31

Celtics inbound to start the third. Starters on the floor for the Celtics. Al gets the ball inside and he hits a jump hook. Al and Perk with a block and Sixers get a dunk at the SC. questionable call because he dunked after the shot clock went off. Green misses a jumper and Sixers rebound and then step out of bounds at the other end. Sixers called for a foul and Celtics inbound on the side. Green hits a 3 off the catch. Dalembert hits a jumper. West hits a jumper from the FT line. West got hit on the shot but no call. West gets called for a Technical for complaining about the no call. Sixers hit the T. travelling violation on the Sixers. Al misses a jumper and Perk rebounds but has it slapped away and Sixers come down with it. Perk with a steal from Iguoudala. Green gets inside for a dunk. time out with 8:39 left in the 3rd and Sixers up 49-40

Game doesn't have a lot of energy or flow to it. Both teams are looking to improve but Philly is further along the curve obviously.

Great pass from Perk inside to Al and he lays it in and is fouled. He hits the FT. Iguodala hits a jumper and a foul called on Al. Doc is called for a technical as he protested the call. It was a terrible call. He is still complaining about it. They hit the T and both FTs. 3 second violation on the Celtics. That was our 16th Turnover. Offensive foul called on Dalembert setting a screen. Green misses a leaner in the lane and Iguodala rebounds. Perk called for his second foul and Iguodala goes to the line. He misses the first. Hunter called for a foul on Perk. Celtics inbound on the side. west misses off the catch. Sixers rebound. Dalembert called for a travel as he upfakes and Perk plays good defense. He misses the first. hits the second FT. West misses a jumper and Iguodala rebounds. He is fouled taking it to the basket. He misses both FTs and Rondo rebounds. Ray misses a jumper. Korver rebounds and pulls up and hits a 3. Perk misses a jumper on the baseline and Sixers rebound. Dalembert misses a jumper and Smith rebounds. Iguodala passes to Dalembert who misses a dunk at the buzzer. Score at the end of 3 is Philadelphia 67 and Boston 58
