Pierce needs to have a big game to make Melo work on defense. And Pierce needs to come out with energy to defend Melo. vs Al has been playing very good basketball lately and hopefully he will have another good defensive game against Camby. Keys to Game:The Celtics can't be complacent because they won 3 in a row. The last time they did and it spelled disaster. We have to come out with focus and energy because if we don't it could get ugly early. We have to commit to playing defense. When we play good defense good things happen. Most games we play defense in spurts and either end up in a hole or let a big lead slip away because of that. We need to come out ready and play 48 minutes. Don't settle for outside shots. We need to take the ball to the basket more. This is why I like Tony's play lately. He will drive and try to make something happen. When we are the more aggressive team we win more often than not.

Tough team to try to win a 4th straight against. The Nuggets have made the transition into a running team and we may be able to learn a few things from them.

I think we need our bench to perform tonight because these look like tough matchups PER wise. It would be very wise to establish Gomes and Jefferson early and have Tony Allen shut off his man. At PG, I think Delonte West and Rajon Rondo are going to have to come off the bench and relieve Bassy. It will be an offensive style uptempo game that the Celtics should feel comfortable with like they did against Phoenix last Friday. Denver is not as strong as Phoenix so I think the C's have a chance to record a home W. My cable system blacks out the Denver games - due to a local contract I guess. I think that is a raw deal for Nuggets fans in Wichita.

Gomes is out tonight and probably tomorrow night. Doc thinks he will start Scal in his place but not sure because he just found out that he won't be playing. I missed the pregame show so I am not sure what happened to him.

Well, one of our demons has been letting teams get off to hot starts. We're doing a good job of keeping Denver down early on. We were able to do the same against the Knicks last week, but they had a big 3rd quarter that quickly ate up our 30 pt lead, so lets hope we've learned from that and not let up our intensity.

He certainly is. He's doing a bit of everything; 16 pts, 5 rebs, 2 assists, 2 stealls and good defense.
Lets hope we don't allow Denver to get back into this game. Offensively, e played steady for both quarters But defensively, we allowed Denver to score 30 pts after only giving up 17 in the 1st quarter. If it wasn't for our strong 1st quarter, we'd be looking at a close game right now.
