l think his going to minny hopefully l dont really want AI me too. Its not that i think AI is a bad player, but getting him would just make us a 45-50 win team, with no real chance of winning a title. Id rather roll with what we have and end up with a lotto pick in one of the best drafts ever.

I can see why Ainge would give up Telfair and West. If AI is going to be the starting PG why have 3 guard rotation when AI is going to command 40+ mins a game. Not to mention AI himself puts up better stats by himself than those 2 combined. That's a wash right there.
I would hate to give up Big Al but at the same time, he ain't going to get his opportunites with Pierce and AI taking 20 + shots a game. He's gonna be a solid player but he isn't a hall of famer like AI.
Theo is Theo.
Its not the greatest deal for us cause we value our young kids so much at the same time, i think the deal is kinda fair for the player we're getting back. I mean if Pierce was being traded wouldn't you want the same type of package that we're possibly offering for Ai?
Break-down: Two solid PGS , 1 good big prospect, and expiring contract for 30pts 8 ast 2 stls Hall of famer.
Lets hope their is some good rebounding centers/pf on the market... we're gonna need them after a trade like this.

That's a very good question JHVOS. If we traded PP what we want? Would we want Travis Outlaw and Jarret Jack from the Blazers? We'd laugh. And if we offer pword prospects and players we don't want that's what will happen to us. You guys are like "Ai is a cancer" True true, but he's a cancer that led a team with no talent at all to the finals. Al J will never do that and neither will Delonte or PP.

Yeah, interesting question, JHVOS. If Pierce was disgruntled and pulled an Iverson on us, what trade would we do? Would you guys do a Deng, Gordon, PJ Brown, 1st round pick?

HECK YES I'D DO THAT deal. In the mean time we are totally deluding ourselves if we think Telfair or Delonte are as attractive as Gordan, or GG as attractive as Deng. Those guys are real live players that have accomplished something in this league and in college. Chicago would be pretty dumb to do that deal.

If I'm Chicago, I'd be willing to make that move. They need a big time player who can deliver in the clutch, and Pierce has certainly proven himself to be that player. Deng is a really good player, but not of Pierce's caliber. Plus they have Nocioni and Safolosha, who are nice players to make up for the loss of Deng. Losing Gordon might not be as easily to replace, but with Pierce coming aboard, they would be willing to take that hit. And with Tyrus Thomas growing into PJ's role, and with PJ aging quickly, they'll be happy to get rid of his contract.
Gordon is far better as a scoring punch off the bench than Delonte, and it will be an upgrade there. We lose Pierce, but we get back a versatile and smart player in Deng, and plus we have an emerging Gerald Green. And of course, that 1st round pick is looking more attractive day by day. This coming draft is looking really appetizing.

Gee, its tough to beat that trade proposal. I'm watching Grant Hill as we speak and he's playing like the Hill from the late 90's. Through in the impressive Trevor Ariza and Jameer Nelson and its really tough to beat that trade. Please Philly, go with this one.
I hope Ainge doesn't try to outbid that proposal.

Yep it's hard to beat a young proven player who produces with young players that have done nothing

Yeah, interesting question, JHVOS. If Pierce was disgruntled and pulled an Iverson on us, what trade would we do? Would you guys do a Deng, Gordon, PJ Brown, 1st round pick? Anyone in their right mind would have to do that trade (except Chi fans). Deng is turning into a real player. Gordon can score. That NY#1 is worth its weight in gold. Plus we'd be getting rid of a 20 mill a year contract? where do i sign up? Heck, I'd do a PJ, Gordon, and NY's #1 pick trade. We get a solid scorer, a good vet leadership wise, cap relief, and what will probably be a top pick in what could be one of the greatest drafts ever. Plus, losing Pierce would guarantee we wouldnt see much more than 25 wins the rest of the year. All that sounds good to me.

You'd do that trade without Deng?

Yes I think I'd still be happy to that trade without Deng. I'd give PPs mins to GG, upgrade TA with Gordon, and take two shots at Oden instead of one.

Thats the key. If we did a PJ/GOrdon/NY's #1 for Pierce deal, it helps us in a myriad of ways. First, NY's terrible, and has a good chance of being a top five pick in one of the best draft of our time. Second, trading Pierce would make us IMO a frontrunner for the worst team in the league. Also, we are able to shed off a 20 mill a year contract. If you want to rebuild, this trade would be a great way of jump starting a new chapter for the C's.
