vs [glow=green,2,300] New Orleans/OKC Hornets vs Boston Celtics Wednesday Nov. 1 7:30 PM TV: League Pass, FSNE Radio: WRKO FM[/glow] Probable Starters Point Guard Telfair vs Paul Shooting Guard Pierce vs Mason Small Forward Wally vs Peja Power Forward Gomes vs West Center Perk vs Chandler Key Match Up vs The key match up will be at point guard. Telfair is starting his tenure as Boston's PG and will be trying to prove himself and Chris Paul is the reigning Rookie of the Year. We may see Rondo matched up against CP3 as well. Keys to the Game Limit fouls at the C and PF positions Keep the turnovers down Rebound and play defense Run, Run, Run The Celtics are dedicating this season to Red. There will be tributes to Red on opening night and after all of that, the game may feel like an afterthought. But the best way to honor Red will be for the Celtics to have a winning season and hopefully that thought won't be far from the players' minds.

Good post FL (karma+). Hopefully Doc will have the rotations down, and let our young rising players operate.

Oklahoma should be an improved team over last year. Chris Paul has another year of experience. However, the emotion, the energy, and the passion whould be with the Celtics. That and a bench of Tony Allen, Rajon Rondo, Al Jefferson, and Leon Powe carries the Celtics to an opening night win. This year the computer is in the same room as the TV so I will take notes on who is hustling and who is slacking. Also, the NBA board will benefit as well when I look in on other games.

With more development, I feel that Sebastian can mirror Chris Paul's game. He needs to learn how to give up the ball more and keep from being stagnant.
I hope this turns out to be a good game. I want to see defense and a lot of offense from our part.

Hello - welcome to another year of Tommy Points, Good Hustle, Positive Energy and hopefully matching last years win total on or before MLK day (well maybe by Valentine's Day).
Tonight will be very emotional - We need to make a statement that this year will be different and the spirit of Red Auerbach takes full effect this year and the next forty.

Delonte is in uniform so hopefully the flareup in his back wasn't too bad.
Mason, West, Chandler, Paul and Peja starting for the Hornets.
They are playing Frank Sinatra singing My Way on the Celtic Vision screen while showing a tribute to Red. Very fitting... He did it his way and did it very well.
Now the Boston Police band is playing the bagpipes. I have goose bumps.
Now the current and past Celtics are walking out on the floor. Pierce is speaking. He has a headband on with the #2 on it for Red. Pierce is sharing about his first talk with Red. Being able to tell everyone that he got to talk with Red for about an hour was one of the best days of his life. They are celebrating his legacy by dedicating this game, and this season to him. They are all at Center court Current and past Celtics alike in a huddle.
They are announcing the team. Starters for the Celtics are Delonte, Telfair, Perk, Wally and Pierce. Delonte is a surprise.
I just saw Perk smile... oh my!! It was brief, but it was there.

I don't like Bassy's game. So far it looks like last year- What defense?. Jefferson is looking strong against Chandler. Chris Paul owns this game so far.
