Wally was missing a lot of kick out shots. That's going to be a big part of our offense and I hope he's just rusty because if he can't hit those gimme's, Doc has to find someone who will. I dont think we'll have to worry about that. If there is one thing that Wally can do, its shoot the lights out.

Yeah, I'm sure he was just a bit off rhythm. Its just that a 1 - 8 showing wasn't really what I was hoping to see from a shooter who got a lot of kickout shots from Rajon and Telfair. Had he knocked down 50% of his shots, and had we converted 75% of our free throws, we may have scored 125 pts tonight Not to be greedy, but we could have done that.

I wonder how much of Wally's being off is getting used to that new ball. At least 4 of his misses went in and then rattled back out.
As for Rondo being sent to the DL, there is no way. He is too good and even the Cleveland announcers were saying that he should be the starting PG. He looked very good out there. He was poised running the team and boy is he fast. He just made good decisions with the ball just about every time down.

I couldn't believe what I saw last nite. It was like I was watching an actual basketball team.
I saw so many things I never thought I'd see. Even when a guy was doing bad it wasn't too bad.
For example. Bassy didn't look bad. Certainly way better than Banks or Oriene or old as time Kenny A or Gary P
As good as Bassy was Rondo looked unbeleiveable. I kept telling myself it's not true. It was like Steve Nash morphed into an African American and decided to play for us. I mean the guy had shots he could have probably made but passed off anyway to guys that were maybe just a little more open and when they got it it was like they were so happy they actually scored just to show how happy they were. Normally if a guy told me we had a pg like that I'd say "yeah but no D right?" But that wasn't the case.
Kandi actually looked like a real live NBA center. What does that mean?
Perk looked good. He even scored. Al looked 99% as good. He was moving like a player with legs. It was unbeleiveable.
GG looked like the next coming of a good version of Tracy again. I'd say he looked like he had better defense that TA too.
Pierce had this big smile in the 4th quarter like "Aha, The tables have turned. Now I am the master"
Bassy and Rondo actually looked like friends and comfortable with each other.
Akingbala got into the game before Powe. Is this good or bad?
For one second Pitts was standing next to Pollard, and I thought "by looking at them you can't tell at all who's better"
Allen Ray seemed at least as good as Oriene give or take
Gomes played pretty good although D Gooden scored at will. I just still love watching him outrebound guys way taller like Varejo
When Varejo and GG jump for a ball and extend their arms it seems like GG is almost as tall.
Wally looked ok. I don't care he missed so much. That's not gonna happen again.
Scala was getting his requisite 52 seconds at the end of quarters so nobody important gets hurt. Nice to see him in mid season form. He actually ran and got a dunk and for 2 seconds I didn't think it was him.
I felt sorry for Bassy cause he had had a good game and seems to have clearly improved but at the end of the game he seemed to be sitting there looking at Rondo thinking "I have to compete with this!?"
i felt sorry for Delonte at home
I wasn't all that impressed with TA. He seemed a little all over the place and I didn't think his D seemed so great.
Yes I'm aware their varsity beat ours. The Cavs seemed to not care about anything till about the third quarter when they seemed to think "oh my gosh. They might actually win. What do we do?"
The Cs did slow down finally with about 2 mins to go but by that time they were up 20 points and the other team was barely walking.
I think it's clear these guys Pitts and Akigbala are a little FU to Scala. they are saying to him "If you don't become an NBA basketball player in 4 years you are so out of here. We'll get one of these guys from Europe and you'll be where they are. Maybe sooner. Oh yeah. Think about it".
GG played so well and so did the points that at this point we have to think about trading maybe TA and a bad contract (Scala or Theo) away for a draft pick.
I remember when ML Carr said we'd do lots of running. I interpreted that as "We aren't very good, so we'll just try to run and see what happens." I always thought that was such a cop out. Like "we can't play half court, or hit shots, or post people up so we'll just run" I got nervous we'd be running. I didn't realize it could actually work.
I also never thought it was possible you could have a pg get more than 5 assists per game. I knew Kidd could do it but none of those guys would ever play for my team. I just had no idea what that could do for a team.
I am trying to forget everything I saw last nite. All of it. But I can't wait to watch again.

Not yet Derren. I have been watching the news ticker on NBA TV and they list through Friday and it is not before then. As soon as I find out I will post on Loy's place and here.
