What I want to know is when Al is fully developed, what happens to Gomes? I love Ryan and I think he is a helluva basketball player, but I'm not sure if I want to start him over Jefferson at the 4. So when Big Al is ready, will Gomes go to the bench? Will he start at the 3 with GG at the 2? Or can we possibly do Gomes at the 4 and Al at the 5? I'm so confused. Since Gomes plays both the 3 and 4 and Al plays the 4 and 5, I see Al starting alongside Perk. Gomes will be our 6th man and back up both the 3 and 4 positions and so get plenty of playing time. Al can play the 5 when Doc goes small ball. At least that is the way I see it. That sounds good to me.

Gomes just keeps getting better and better.
For what it's worth Jefferson has led the team in rebounding 9 times all year in a game. . Gomes has led the team 5 times. Gomes has also led the team in assists twice. Lafrentz and Blount both did it once. Jefferson never did it. Davis and Pierce did it a lot of times. Perk never did it. Wally did it thrice. Perkins led the team in rebounding 11 times, especially after the trade. Neither Gomes, nor Jefferson, nor Perk have ever led the team in scoring. Raef did it once.

How about Doc plays Al at the center position with Gomes starting at PF? Since, Al plays more like a center than a PF (How often does Al shoot a jumper?).
C- Jefferson/Perkins PF-Gomes/Perkins/Lafrentz

I gues that would be fine with me, except since we are winning so much with Raef as center I kinda want to leave it as is, but maybe we'd win more with Al there.
In the mean time Al has had 6 double doubles this season. Ryan and Perk have had four. The most rebounds Al had in a game this year was 12. Ryan had 17 the other nite. The most points in a game Al had was 21 on Dec 10. Ryan has had 27 and 29 in his last two games.
Al can play center for now but the moment Perk comes back Al goes to the bench. Al got better this year. Perk got a lot better. West got a lot better. And Gomes has been unbelieveable.

I'm more into Perk at the 5. We need him as a banger there. Gomes clearly a 4 and fill-in 3. Al and Reaf could play both the 4 and 5, best at the 4, IMO. With Reaf's years in the league he might be better, filling in at the 5, than Al...
That's my take JHVOS.
Give Scala the scraps and this looks good in the future --- if Reaf isn't moved due to $ $ $.
