Question -- is MIA a tougher matchup for us compared to MIL?
MIA doesn't have a single player who is on Giannis' level, but they have better players across the spectrum.
They are like us in many ways. But I think we marchup well. Bam might meet his match going up against Batman and Horford. Jimmy Butler will have to deal with both JT and JB. Lowry is hampered by a bad hammy, and Smart will be more than he can handle.
If our perimeter shots are falling, this is going to be another fun series.

I expect another war. I just hope we don't have a letdown in Game 1 after this emotional Game 7 win vs MIL.

This is gonna be a great series. Both teams are similar. Both have great coaches, and both teams are locked in on defense.
One thing i noticed, Duncan Robinson has pretty much fallen out of their playoff rotation. Which is wild, cuz that dude was a huge part of them knocking out boston in the ecf in 2020. i wonder what happened to him? they owe that dude a lot of money still.

They've matured right before our eyes. I like that Game 1 is on the road. They'll be in fight mode right off the bat.

Seems like both Duncan's slight drop in shooting percentage and the rise of Olapido, Strus and Caleb Martin has given Spoelstra the luxury of benching Duncan. But maybe it's more than that?

I think Oladipo got healthy and happened to him

I think Miami is every bit as legit as the Bucks. We beat one MVP type guy. They beat two. They out rebounded Embiid. They have home court. This isn't getting any easier. I think they need to rest Rob Will the first two games and maybe 3. Because we really really need him. But we need him at at least 80% for multiple games in a row. He has to get healthy.

What worries you, E? This isn't going to be easy, but I'm feeling good about our chances. Our defense shuts teams down -- not completely, but enough to stand a chance in every game. And our offense is what tops it off. If we're hitting our shots, we'll be winning games.

Lowry expected to miss Game 1. That guy always seems to kill us, so I count that as a break.

And our offense is what tops it off. If we're hitting our shots, we'll be winning games. I think the Heat might be better than the Bucks. They are a fuller team and far deeper. For example, Tyler Hero, Duncan, and Oladipo strike me as way way better than Grayson Allen and Pat Connaughton. Kyle Lowry can do a decent Jrue impression, although the hammy thing is super intriguing. Bam Adebayo is like a trillion times better than B Lopez and without R Will to battle him I think this is very tough. We also don't have home court. Spoelstra is a very very good coach. I don't think he'll be outcoached. I also think the Heat have way better defense. The 76ers are a good team with a ton of talent and they had no problem with them. One major thing I'm happy about is I think our players are growing up and still peaking. I think they're getting better every day. Pritch. G Will. Even Smart. Horford has found the fountain of youth for now. D White and Theis are still acclimating a little more all the time. I'm also optimistic that basically this SHOULD have been a 6 game series. I'm also optimistic that we preserved our legs with the Nets sweep. But the Heat played a game less than us in this round.

All valid, but let us not forget that we were the [HASH]1 rated offense and defense in the entire NBA the second half of the season. That's not a fluke.
And now we've battle tested ourselves against MIL and learned to dogfight and persevere.
MIA is better than MIL, but we're a alot better than MIL too. We should've ended this series in 5.
Our last two wins shows us who we are.

My big hope is that essentially we have gotten better during these playoffs and other teams have stayed the same, or maybe even got a little worse if they lose K Lowry and if Duncan Robinson fell off the map.
