I'm going to say it's both his knee and our defense on him.
MIA, like every team in the league, have no answer for our defense.

If we don't win Game 7 this will forever be remembered as a blown opportunity. Yes, Butler was great and MIA benefited from several last second 27 footers that aren't normally going to go in, but we were at home, healthier than the Heat, and should have found a way to win. At this point I almost don't even care what happens in the Finals as long as they get there. We have to get over this ECF hump that has stymied us in the Jays era.

Hate yesterday's loss, and I can nitpick things, but there's encouraging things. First of all, the Heat needed a herculian effort by Jimmy to stay alive. If it wasn't for him, we are on our way to the Finals.
Our chemistry and intensity sucked for most of the game, we had a poor offensive showing, our defense was questionable, Tatum was quiet in the early 4th, and we still nearly took the game.
Again, we, not the Heat, are the reason we lost last night.

I guess you can look at it two ways. We control our destiny or it's our fault we lost. I just don't want to lose to the Heat.

Yes we lost the game but you expect your stars to come up big when it matters most and Jimmy Buckets did. So I'd argue the Heat won it more than we lost it because Jimmy did what he had to do. Screw the scouting reports on his 3p shot, he came up big. Credit to him for not wilting, for bucking the trend. I mean think about Jordan's Flu Game..would you say the Jazz lost it because they couldn't capitalize on a sick Jordan? Heck no. We give all the credit to a superstar who stepped up when he had to.
Now onto Game 7 and we'll see if our own star answers the call the way Jimmy did. We know Tatum has it in him. I watched Tatum nail critical shot after critical shot in Game 6 of the Bucks series facing elimination. Yelling at my TV every time JT shot a 3 with a hand in his face and just turn around like a coldblooded killer. I want to see that in Game 7.

Limit turnovers. Have Tatum play like a First Team All-NBA player. Find a way to slow Butler down.

Im seeing that Rob Williams is questionable for G7. Grant needs to step up in Game 7 and not let Bam destroy him.

JT got ECF MVP award. I don't have a problem with that, but I also would have been ok if it had gone to Butler - even in a losing cause. Guy was immense in the last two games.

I also want to give credit where credit is due to Bam and Butler for their great sportsmanship after the game, congratulating Tatum and wishing him well.

Agreed, if Butler had been healthy the whole series...I'm actually hesitant to say we win this series. He was an absolute warrior. He wasn't getting ticky tacky fouls like Lowry. He was driving hard and trying to score instead of waiting for the refs to bail him out.

Spoelstra and Struss are still bitching about the negated 3 pt shot in Game 7 but I guess they're ok with the fact that Bam committed 317 moving screen violations in the series and was called for 1.

Not to mention the stiff arm that Butler gave Al late in the 4th to keep from getting his shot blocked.
