Now that we're a game or two - depending on the series - into the 2022 playoffs, do you have any sense of where things are headed?
In the East, it looks like BOS/BKN will be by far the most competitive series. None of the others seems very compelling to me. If we get by BKN and get Rob back for round 2, I like our chances. We'll be battle tested in a way MIA, MIL and PHI won't be.
Out West, watch out for those Warriors! Last night, in his second game back, Curry scored 34 points in 23 minutes, and was +32 in those minutes. He was seen mouthing the words "I'm f*ing back". With Klay rounding into form, Draymond back, and Jordan Poole playing like an All-Star, I think they'll make it at least to the WCF. If they play PHX it will be a war.

It'll be the Warriors from the West. From the East, I should be us because we're the best team (oh yes we are!!), but my goodness, we have to defeat the Nets, ans then a combination of MIA, MIL and PHI -- and that's just to make it out of the East. We may be too beat up to face the Warriors by then.

Would that be the hardest path to the finals in NBA history?
BKN - MIL - MIA/PHIL
Can't imagine many teams had to play a first round game against a team with 2 all-stars, the defending champs in the 2nd round, and take on the 1 seed or a team with another 2 all-stars.
GS looks scary good. Now, with Booker picking up a knock - I think GS is the team to beat in the West though injuries can change that.

The most interesting happening from the Thursday games, as far as the Celtics are concerned, was Khris Middleton's injury - which I'm now reading will keep him out of the rest of the first round. With CHI winning Game 2, MIL may have a series on their hands. Wouldn't it be ironic if not ducking the Nets wound up giving us an easier second round series vs the Bulls?

Maybe (but I think MIL still wins the series simply because of Giannis).
On another note, I feel bad for PHO and really hope Booker comes back and plays at a high level by round 2. CP3 is running out of chances to win a ring.

I agree, i def hope phx can get healthy. if the C's can't win it, i want phx to. that fanbase has been more than patient. and i desperately want to see someone hand golden state their !!!GREENIAC!!! lol.
that Memphis/Minny series is gonna be a good one. It's awesome to hear so many people around here talking about the wolves.

Agreed fresh. I'd love to see PHX win it if not the Cs. The Bucks winning it was a testament to drafted talent, patience, and players not trying to create super teams like LeBron. PHX would be a similar type of win.. Booker, Bridges, Ayton...thats alot of losing seasons and patience. Then CP3 revitalizing his career abit like how Jrue did when he came to the Bucks to finally get them over the hump.
The one team I really don't want to win the Finals is the Sixers. I like Embiid but there are too many other guys on the Sixers that I dislike..Harden, Doc, Morey.

Agree with you guys.
PHO was close back in the early 90's but Jordan was in their way.
They're close now, but Giannis stopped them last year. The Warriors will be tough to get by too. If we lose to them in the Finals, I will not be so mad (mainly because I think next year and going foreward, it'll be our time to reign).
But yeah, anyone but PHI!!!

Me too. After the multi-year tank job Philly committed, I hope they never win.
I still can't stand Riley in MIA and don't want to see him win either - even though I don't have anything against the coach or players.

Funny cause I have nothing against any of MIA's players or Spo -- but Injust find them to be the bad guys.
PHI I don't care for because of Embiid (hate his arrogance) and Simmons too (when he was a star for them). But it does go back to when Hinkie was tanking and they were accumulating all these high lottery picks. I felt they were going to threaten us because we were getting high picks too (courtesy of BRK).
Wow, look at what their picks turned into -- Nerlens, Okafor, Simmons, Embiid, Fultz. Only Embiid stuck.
Whereas we hit on a bunch of ours -- Smart, JB, JT, and Rob. And in the future we're going to see that we hit it on Grant, Pritch and Juhann Begarin.

Unbelievable last 5 seconds of MEM/MIN Game 5. Both young guns, Edwards and Ja showing up big. Ja is SO much fun to watch. They asked him what the play design was for that last shot and he said "Go get a bucket, Ja". I hope this one goes 7 just for the entertainment value.

I'm blown away how good MIN has become. Even if they lose this series, they have hope going forward.

It was to he expected, but I'm irritated anyways that PHI won in 6 to TOR.
I hope MIA crushes them and makes Embiid cry again.

At this point I don't really like either PHI or MIA so unless something changes, I just want them to beat up on each other for as long as possible. MIA is better coached and Harden doesn't have the best history as a clutch performer, so I think the Heat will win.
Has the East ever had four such evenly matched teams in the EC semis?

Too bad it has to be one of PHI or MIA who will be in the ECF. Our series vs the Bucks should be the ECF, and either we or MIL should be competing to go to the Finals.
