After such a dramatic turn around, going for a historic best 31-10 after being 20-21 at the halfway mark, what makes you believe this team is for real, and not just a flash in the pan?

For me it's the dominant road wins against good teams that we saw over the last 25 games or so. Everyone is playing their roles and playing them well. And our two big scoring stars are looking better and better.
The guys are happy and playing for each other, and I think THEY believe they can win it all.

What makes me believe that we've genuinely turned the corner is that Ime implies it. He doesn't beat around the bush or sugar coat things. If he knew his team was fools gold, he would've called them out on it. But now that the guys have bought in, are playing his system, are playing with the right urgency, he finally sees them playing the right way -- playing winning basketball.

Cavs are putting on a disastrous show -- the Nets are barely breaking a sweat.
CLE shooting poorly.
In order for us to beat BRK, it takes not only a strong defensive performance, but we need to put pressure on them by scoring too.

The great Kyrie Irving, with 34 points and 12 assists, was only a +2 in their win against CLE.

I believe we'll beat the Nets because
- they have 2 great scorers, we have a great scoring team (as evident by our [HASH]1 ranked offense since Feb) - they are an average defensive team, and we are, even without Rob, a much better defensive team.

I think the only way the Nets win is if Durant goes into god-mode. He's definitely capable of it, but I definitely like Boston's chances.

I think the only way the Nets win is if Durant goes into god-mode. He's definitely capable of it, but I definitely like Boston's chances. Fresh, I think even if Durant and Kyrie go for 40 apiece, and Seth Curry goes for 20, our defense can clamp down and suffocate the rest of the Nets. But the Nets, even if they limit JT and JB to a pedestrian 25 apiece, if the ball is moving and guys are hitting shots, we have Smart, Horford, DW, Theis, Grant and Pritch who can chip in between 10-12 each. And now Hauser and Nesmith are starting to come on as well. I expect Durant and Kyrie to go off -- and like you, I like our chances still.

It'll be interesting to see what our playoff rotation will be. I'm guessing something like
Theis Al JT JB Smart
With GWill, Pritch, and White off the bench. I don't think we'll see much of Nesmith unless it's an emergency.

Yup, I think that's what it'll be for the most part.
Being that we are down a Big (Rob), and the Nets have height (Drummond, Claxton), to counter their height we may see Kornet get some minutes.
If Udoka wants to exploit their perimeter defense, Hauser might be called upon for his hot shooting he's displayed recently.

Sir Charles agrees with you guys:
“There’s no way they can beat the Celtics,” Barkley explained. “They got two great players. They both actually played as good as they probably can play [on Tuesday]. Kevin Durant was fabulous with his passing and his defense. Kyrie was great. But other than that, I know they can’t beat the Celtics now.
“All these fools on these other morning talk shows can let this ship sail,” Barkley added. “Both of those guys played great — great — and they barely beat a mediocre Cavs team.”

Zach Lowe says our defense might be the greatest defense he's ever seen.
If true, this Nets series is over. Nash, KD and Kyrie might figure something out for a game, maybe two -- but if this defense of ours is legit (and Udoka says there's more layers to it), then it's game over for BRK.

I wouldn't say we're the greatest D. The refs could very quickly turn the tide on us and call more fouls on our physical style even if we changed nothing from what we did in Game 1 and 2. So if we can't rely on the refs to keep calling it the same way...then I hope we have a better offensive gameplan to attack the Net's weak defense. I want to see us go more at KD, force him to defend in the post and wear him down, back him down with shoulders into his chest. I'd like to see us attack Dragic more as well...his old legs shouldn't be able to keep up with the speed of Jaylen. Smash & Run, lets ensure we can win this with more than just D.

Right. The refs have swallowed their whistle (except in the 4th quarter of Game 2 when they gave Durant 40 trips to the line).
If they start calling ticky tack fouls, we'll be in trouble.

Why do I believe in this team? When BRK's announcers can only conclude that our defense is the reason why KD has looked this domestic, you know we're legit. www.youtube.com/watch?v=KYilDgRQHGUThey said it's like we have 5 PJ Tuckers 😁
